LMAO, you know what is funny ?

The initial translation was so bad that I didn't even see the "progressive" language jokes until I read the chapter on TCB two minutes ago.

I was not talking about that at all when I was saying this :

Prepare yourself guyz. This arc seems to be on the verge of becoming highly political !

:brootea::fujilaugh::willight::lusnipe::carrocorn:
But this translation actually supports exactly what I was saying. This arc is about to get politically charged for once in the casual meaning of the word and I love it. (and the fun fact is that I might not even like the political moral at the end hehe)

I can already see the political conflict and the two main antagonist that will clash here. It's gonna be fun !

Oda is deliberately confusing if Loki is evil or not . I am suspecting if he even killed King Harald by his convo with old man .

Oda is surely building up Loki is Good guy image but remember Loki is god of trickster so be careful if he flips 360 and ends up teaming up with Goroseis .

Shanks brother finally arrived let’s see what he schemes lol .

Loki comes off as Chaotic Neutral to me

Yea he could side with anyone at this point but I don’t think he will be main villain considering Evil Shanks is in picture .

Horrendous chapter from a writing perspective.

With that whole Lillith-Stella-Kuma scene Oda managed to completely destroy three (!) major dramatic scenes in Egghead and quite frankly heavily dragged down this arc in retroperspective.

Not only is Stella dying/Kizaru crying now almost meaningless, the "death" of all other sattelites is just as meaningless.

But even worse - Kuma's entire dramatic character arc and sacrifice is just utterly destroyed by Vegapunk seemingly being able to bring him back just like that.

On top of that it once again 100% supports every single critic that says that One Piece has zero stakes and lost it's thrill a long time ago.

Horrible, horrible writing.
I would say Dressrossa was starting point where writing fell . I just think Oda is doing it too finish his deadlines than putting creativity .

The plot is overall same it’s cut copy paste in almost every arc

-Mary sue female character
- Father of the character was a noble man and died for greater good or sacrificed themselves .
- Villain of every arc will be introduced super powerful and scheming thing but ends up getting negged by Luffy in the end .
-Definitely one instance of Luffy will be talking about liberation , freedom nonsense .

Template is more or less same if you carefully read each arc . It’s interesting we don’t have Mary sue female character in this arc yet lol but Oda will definately introduce one for sure .

-Mary sue not yet introduced
- King Harald most likely will have more prominence when they start introduce his character .
- Evil Shanks or Gorosei ???
- I expect Luffy talking about liberation in Elbaf as well lol .

Its going to be another wano where all the giants are scheming...the teacher Ripley is SaraHebi of Elbaf...and Saul is a Kurozumi...

And sigh…. He needs to let Vegaskunk die already….
He never let's anyone of importance die (Ace and WB being the outliers and as ridiculous as it sounds at this point I wouldn't even be shocked if he somehow brought back Ace EoS).

Igaram, Pell, Pagaya, Bellamy, Franky Family, Spandam, Bon Clay, Sabo, Pound, Law, Moria, Shinokuni victims, Brownbeard, Moscato, Pekoms, Kinemon, Saul, Vegapunk, Kuma etc.

List goes on forever - each time he wrote a seemingly dramatic/climatic death scene, only to show those characters being completely fine a bit later.

I still enjoy reading it, but OP is a manga without any kind of consequences or stakes. No need to fear for anyone or anything.
