Once again there's that thing I talked about where people are too in love with a character to be realistic
They love the Admirals too much to think that Shiryu will be a top or god tier even though he's the right hand man of Teach who'll become one of the top 3 strongest characters in OP

Nah, I think when Oda characterizes islands and shows them before Luffy even has a chance to go there, we never actually go to those places.

Like offhand he teased Elbaf, Fishman Island, Whole Cake Island, Wano, even Marine Headquarters and Impel Down, for years before Luffy ended up in those places. And it makes sense, his biggest thing is keeping places a secret until doublespreads show them.

Its partially why I also doubt Mariejoa will be actually a place we go to, its been seen so much in the story already, same as I doubt Pirate Island.

And its absolutely why Im 100% sure Lodestar will be its own thing before Laugh Tale for the same reasons. Its literally the last Island he's teased since Zou and he never showed it both times it was referenced. Now, there could be something in between Elbaf and Lodestar, i.e. another surprise like Egghead, but I never count on those

You'd need a reason to go there though, and the novelty of discovering a new island is already gone. Rescuing Pudding maybe? Otherwise it'd be just a regular old territory dispute.

I like how Teach is more like Luffy than Xebec, IMO. I could see the Level 6 Prisoners turning on Teach, but not the OG 5. Laffitte, Van Augur, Doc Q, Stronger, and Burgess are Lifers.

Yeah I agree, I don't see even a hint of treachery in his OG crew members, they all seem super loyal and don't mind pushing Teach to the top, that's one advantage that Xebec didn't have.

I just think, imo, the ship kinda sailed.

We know that Marine base was close to Pirate Island and Egghead. Sword and Tashigi went to Pirate Island within a day, and we know Doll was picked up by Kizaru by the following day to Egghead.

It took multiple days to go from Egghead to Elbaf, which to me means Pirate Island is already behind the crew. But again, its just how I see it because Oda has drawn that island fully on multiple occasions and now we are seeing it again in this Flashback lol.
