Joyboy reveal when?

Oda is really fucking with us.

:parkcry:

But yeah I think the swordsmanship thing is also just Oda trying to write about Bushio/samurai stuff too naturally and that was a huge recurring theme in Rurouni Kenshin naturally and for Vagabond and such too.

Overview

"Vagabond," a manga series by Takehiko Inoue, explores various Bushido themes through the life of Miyamoto Musashi, a legendary swordsman. The manga delves into Musashi's journey from a violent, self-centered youth to a more thoughtful and introspective warrior, grappling with concepts like strength, honor, and the true meaning of the samurai way.

Key Bushido Themes in Vagabond:
  • The Quest for Strength and Mastery:

Musashi's initial motivation is driven by a desire to become the strongest swordsman, reflecting the samurai's emphasis on martial prowess.

  • The Nature of Strength:
The manga questions the traditional understanding of strength as solely physical, suggesting that true strength also encompasses wisdom, self-awareness, and the ability to overcome one's ego.

  • Honor and Loyalty:
While Musashi initially disregards societal expectations, his journey involves grappling with the concept of honor and its role in samurai society.

  • The Price of Violence:
The manga doesn't shy away from depicting the brutal consequences of violence, forcing Musashi to confront the impact of his actions and the meaning of killing.

  • Self-Reflection and Growth:
Musashi's encounters with various individuals and his own internal struggles lead him to question his path and seek a deeper understanding of himself and the world.

  • Acceptance of Weakness:
The manga portrays Musashi's journey as a process of letting go of his ego and accepting his weaknesses, which paradoxically leads to greater strength and wisdom.

  • The Way of the Sword (and Beyond):
While Musashi is a master swordsman, the manga explores the idea that true mastery lies not just in swordsmanship, but in understanding the underlying philosophy of the warrior's path.

  • The Interconnectedness of All Things:
The manga suggests that all beings are interconnected and that true strength comes from recognizing this interdependence, rather than isolating oneself in pursuit of individual power.
In essence, "Vagabond" uses the framework of Bushido to explore universal themes of personal growth, the search for meaning, and the complexities of human nature, making it a powerful and thought-provoking manga.

Kid and Law stocks are safe, the fandom will have no choice but to jump in the hype once they come back. Harald, a random flashback character, is clashing with Xebec. His son, Loki, will be extremely powerful too. But both of these characters aren’t as important to the narrative as Kid — a new gen leader who already usurped a yonko. If there’s a big final fight happening and Law/Kid are present then they will take priority over the Yamatos and Lokis of the world.
Oh yes absolutely true! The bandwagoning, the salt, the disppearing acts and mental gynmastics will be so gloriously catharthic to see when they return!

Well said man, thank you. Great points.

Did I just speak shockwave sword style into existence, I literally made a post talking about the blunt sword based attacks a day ago:shocked:
@Gol D. Roger @HeroesNZ @comrade

Years of hating on GodKing and nothing, 2 days of wanking GodKing and he gets cooked? This was the formula to break through all along.
Man was an undercover agent all along, 2 days of wanking GodKing and you toppled their entire agenda 😭

We've got a Medal of Valour waiting for you upon your return to the GodHawk camp brother :BigW:

Now Rocks is being pushed to Roger+ level?
And suddenly Admiral level has same strength gap as VA level?
Buggy being related to Rocks would be very funny. People are pointing out how the Rocks Pirates are resembling the CG too. Can we actually witness a 2v2 battle with BB and CG on one side and RH and SH on the other?
Will we get the GV flashback next chapter?
Gotta hand it to Oda he can deliver some crazy chaps and still have 600 old plot points integrated.
Blackbeard will 100% make allaince with WG

Boa Hancock took Nami's place
Who the heck is Hancock?

against someone who had already killed an Admiral and had more than enough strength left to clash vs Harald. And this is pre Rocks Crew formation Rocks pirates captain Xebec. So this isn't even Peak Xebec which would be his God Valley version.
I think we all agree that the admiral is irrelevant in this equation. It was probably some Monet type of shit with the Admiral being paralyzed and cut in half.

Bro, get off this boat while there's still time.
Roger, Xebec, and Shanks fire their haki like cannons; that's an infinite difference in cutting techniques that you need to be able to master to call yourself a swordsman.
There's a reason they've never been called swordsmen in the entire history of manga, lmao.

This has to be sick sadomasochism. You know you're wrong, but you're going to continue this retarded argument because it seems like your blessed egos are going to be too bruised, all to be molested in the end when the manga proves you wrong. Weird nerds, I can never fathom how deep into the mud of this argument you can go.
The best part of this is that bro thinks he's winning...
