Xebec has his eyes set on Elbaf. This is first and foremost an Elbaf flashback. So something big is going to happen in Elbaf soon.

I think there’s a big chance that Roger fought alongside Harald to defend Elbaf from the Rocks pirates.

Roger teamed up against Rox while his crew fought the Rox Pirates with help from the HK and marines.

I can't imagine a scenario where that would be necessary though.
Roger killed off entire pirate crews and (supposedly) even military armies. Their 'reward' can't possibly be just saving a random royal infant. Cause that's the only thing they got from this whole endeavor.

I'm quite sure, the truth is much worse than those guys teaming up. Rocks was onto something but he got killed for it. I'm sure we'll be quite sad hearing his story.

Imo roger was there because of one thing, he thought a poneglyph would be there. It was announced to the world that the treasure of Pirate Island will be at God Valley and Roger learned the truth of the poneglyphs prior to God valley.
