That Garp, he’s simply a beast, he’s the strongest Marine, but he was attacked and the attack didn’t have much effect on him, fine — but why didn’t he jump on Big Mom, WB, and Kaidou after that, and just let them go?

I mean, it's the Rocks pirates who have to prove themselves, right? Garp came the moment he heard Roger is on his way, that's the only rival Garp cared about and Garp as a Marine basically has enemies in both the Roger and Rocks pirates. Meaning Roger, Rayleigh, Gaban & co. on one hand, Xebec, Whitebeard, Shiki, Linlin and Kaido on the other hand. At this point Garp's disinterest in following pirates that flee anyways is justifed.

They meet in the city center and fight yes. Theyre fighting for who gets to save her which apparently is Rayleigh as Roger stops WB from going in. Im going to assume Gaban stops BM or something.

His editors died. That's actually what happened. What we are getting rn is Oda unfiltered and uncontrolled. He's letting all his intrusive thoughts out.

The same reason Roger fought Whitebeard instead of Rayleigh is the same reason Whitebeard didn’t fight Garp.

Big Mom didn’t fight Garp because she was pressed for time, chasing after the Devil Fruits, Standing there trading blows with Garp — what good would that do for her at the end of the day?

Kaidou was really the only one who could fight Garp, since he was relying on Big Mom for his Devil Fruit and was still dealing with internal issues like betrayals.

kaido talks about pirates betraying. He wouldn't be so focused on that if some random fodder betrayed them. And he also wanted to kill wb himself in mf.

imo, WB will get scarred by Garling. And he will decide that sticking with Rocks isn't worth it and bail.

If Whitebeard does that (get scarred by Garling and bounce), he stocks gonna plummet lmao. Don't think Oda will do that. WB's entire character is some kind of bushido, no scars on his back running away!

IMO Kaido wanting to do to Marineford to kill WB was because he knew WB was going there with intention of never coming back. I think it was more of a respect kind of thing, rather than straight up malice

It was basically a (semi) friendly clash between Roger and Whitebeard while playing wingman for Rayleigh. It's not that deep. Whitebeard in that particular clash looks neither good nor bad. But Lackeybeard of the unpaid bill running from Warp is another story.
