May be! But I still think that the Minks are taught about 5 islands when they are little, at least Neko and Inu were. These 5 islands could be the four islands where Road Poneglyphs and the island where Rio Poneglyph are located.

And for the 8 island thing, since Zou is already removed, I see why Minks never thought to mention the rest of the 3 locations. The locations where Road Poneglyphs are located can change, so teaching them about it would be pointless.

Another great chapter in this flashback. Awful time for a break though, going into this part of the year chapter releases will be scarce and random

Interesting decision to skip the fight. Keeps Oden’s strength relative to Whitebeard still vague- strong enough to really impress him, but, well, that was to be expected.

Octo swords becomes an allied pirate, doesn’t he? Toki’s obviously fascinating with her relation to the VC, but I’m not sure how much if that we’ll actually see. And the moon comes up again with her name.

Whitebeard considering Oden his brother instead of his son is interesting. Keeps the family theme going but perhaps shows Whitebeard thinks of him on more equal pegging than the others in the crew?

Always thought that Roger’s shadowed eyes were like Law’s and he’s always had them, but it looks like it’s from his illness. Definitely see Ace in him there. Of course, the great pirate usage is very interesting considering that’s what Luffy has to be when he meets Shanks, which is to be soon. Stuff to think of for where Luffy will stand after Wano.

Shanks being so young on Roger’s crew, while being adamant he wouldn’t let Luffy on his crew at a similar age, also brings a new wrinkle to him.

Oden is having good time for now but he hasn't met yet the Beast that he can't defeat and who'll set fire to Wano in the future.

And I wouldn't be surprised if the two meet or hear about each other in the next two flashback chapters before Oden's return to Wano.

Yeah young Marco has a lots of panels, has most of the lines of the WB crew, and was singled out in 3/4 panels focus only on him.

It is either WB or Marco.

Marco is indeed the most important character in the WBP beside WB himself.

I like how Marco character was painted here : he was the first one who was ready to send Oden away (knowing that Oden will not suffer a lot physically) and then he was the first who wanted him to join the crew and said that his test was finished. The guy has a big heart but he is still a pirate.
