Oden blocked -> His block was overpowered

Kuzan blocked -> Marco overpowered his block and kicked him flying
Kizaru blocked -> Marco overpowered his block and sent him flying

In Kizaru vs Rayleigh, Kizaru was on the offensive, thus resulting in an equal clash.
In Oden vs WB, Oden was on the offensive, thus resulting in an equal clash.

So it's just a matter of simply blocking & getting overpowered vs matching the opponent's force, resulting in an equal clash.

I'm sure Oden can replicate what he did with Whitebeard, against Roger too.

That was already disproven with Mihawk struggling with Vista while Shanks is a Yonko. Shanks became a Yonko 6 years ago, while he fought Mihawk before he even met Luffy, more than 12 years ago.

Mihawk blocked by Crocodile.

The story is about Luffy inheriting Roger's will and surpassing him. The whole story consists of parallels between Roger and Luffy. But sure, it's about Zoro surpassing Roger.

We officially reached a point in the fandom where people are arguing EOS Zoro > Roger.
