If we are fighting in the ring and I'm throwing punches, sweating, huffing, and I try my hardest to get by you while you are just smirking. Nobody on your side will call me strong based off of their observation. The only way they would call me strong is if you are fighting back and I am able to deal with all of your attacks.

Zoro anger was not towards him, it was towards Orochi. If Zoro we're trying his hardest to get by him like you've seen to believe then he would have been using haki but he wasn't. Luffy vs Cracker is a perfect example of that. He we're trying his hardest to get by Cracker.
