The alliance will collapse when Kaido will go on rampage. I see a similar scenario like stampede (bullet a true monster, with many transformation the same will happen to Kaido, Dragon, hybrid form). It looks like Oda really liked that movie, fans too and was a success in term of popularity and money.

I think its simply just that Oda doesn't want to have to draw another 30 or so characters until the battles actually start. I am 100% confident they will join the battles when they begin, creating a more dire situation. But the BM children already had their arc (though yes, Smoothie, Campote, Snack etc all got shafted and 100% need screentime).
Balancing is extremely difficult as it is and Oda just added the WB pirates and Neko into the arc. We have the F6 and Numbers to fully characterize, as well as setting these battles with the Scabbards, Supernova and more.
Just give it time, I'm sure they will be back and its just Oda's excuse to keep them away until they are needed.

It's obvious Oda's storytelling has gone to shit with characters that have the power to do something but just don't do anything.
Fucking Nami just standing there for the ink arrows to hit her, Sanji being a dumbass and 'blocking' it instead of getting to Momo, every other character there too... and like you said just sitting there by the waterfall like lost little lambs...

No its just ridiculous at how you guys overreact to every little nuance that happens in this manga. You'd rather Oda spend and waste pages and pages showing Kanjuro using more effort to fend off Sanji. You just don't like that Sanji didn't continue to pursue momo because it doesn't "match" your vision of the character.

Man, Apoo’s a real son of a bitch, but I’m starting to dig his character and powers. Not surprised to learn that his powers only work if you can hear him; if only the alliance had thought to bring ear plugs...or maybe Kin’emon can make them? They are technically made to place on your body 
In a similar vein, Killer is increasingly cooler...he’s got the sympathy factor with the whole eating a SMILE thing, he’s sharp enough to know how Apoo’s attacks can be circumvented, and he’s a loyal friend to Kid to a self-sabotaging degree. Easy to see why he and Zoro are the only Supernovae who aren’t captains - they’re both titans in their own right.
Feel like that was a surprisingly muted initial appearance of a Number, for Haccha to just blast in and get a smaller introduction panel than even Bao Huang a couple of chapters ago.
Who’s Who wants to fight Queen as well, a detail I’m sure we all missed because we were distracted by his cat girl consorts who should now split opinion on #TeamUlti and #TeamMaria even further
Speaking of, I wonder if this will finally be the time when Sanji acts seriously in front of a female opponent...Kin’emon might also have a tough time seeing Black Maria since he’s also a pervert, and since she’s a swords(wo)man, he might be the more sensible choice to take the lead anyway, but I guess he’s going elsewhere. Chopper’s about to either get his cheeks clapped, OR clap the biggest cheeks around
I don’t think she’s legally allowed to, but Flampe can eat a dick. Sucks up to her own brother, wants to kiss her new stepdaddy’s ass, and is generally snotty...why did she even come? What fucking purpose could she POSSIBLY serve in the battle this time?
Marco/Neko/Izo’s entrance is even more badass than the spoilers made it look, holy shit!! Pretty solid ending to a really great chapter
