Yes “Sessha” is a pronoun used mainly by male samurais. But we literally saw in Oden’s flashback how she was taught to use the pronoun “Sessha” when she was a kid.

Japanese pronouns don’t work in the same way as western ones. She using “Shessha” doesn’t change the fact that she considers herself a woman.
