• Had his main weapon swatted of his hand which means he was overpowered.
• Out of the 8 Samurai 3 engaged with him directly.
• Was sweating objectively more than Akainu was against Shanks ( check the panels).
• He clearly had a shocked/fearful expression.
• He was paralyzed due to the PTSD that he got from Oden.

So this chapter confirms that Kaidou is scared of Oden, thus he's weaker them him.

The notion was Akainu showing sweat/shock/fear at seeing Shanks AND proceeded to do nothing to Shanks in the following chapters. So the equivalent of that would be Kaido not attacking the Scabbards next chapter, we’ll see what Oda has in store.

Having a bad memory of the only person who managed to leave a life long scar on you and almost killed you isn’t the weirdest thing in the world.

Kaido still moved to grab Neko though. Akainu didn't move from his spot. All he could do was cry helplessly about Shanks protecting Luffy.

Also if Oden is stronger than Kaido then that just means we can add another to the list of much stronger than admirals

I'm not even sure he fought non prime WB or non prime Shiki or non prime BM 1 v 1 during God valley.

You don't hear or see Rayleigh even Fight Oden
He never fought WB, Kaido, BM, Shiki especially after Rocks fall.

If Ray fought Kaido, Kaido would compare oden to Ray too since Ray is the kind pirate as Roger and WB are too. But nope Kaido only compares Oden to WB and Roger. WB compared Oden to his rocks peers.

We saw Oda grouped Ray and Scopper to tag team Oden, Oda felt that Ray alone couldn't take on Oden by himself and win
