Some people though after that last chapter that Sanji was gonna be used as a hype tool again but if he really gets up with minimal damage done it's actually King who was used as a hype tool because that attack was meant to kill Sanji.

There was no point at which King overpowered Sanji. Their exchange went as follows :

1. Sanji base kicks and King blocks
2. King CoA kicks and Sanji CoA blocks.
3. Sanji looks to find Shinobu to throw Momonosuke to safety, which allows King to set up his attack
4. King lands his attack on a defenseless Sanji claiming that it wil split him in half andl kill him
5. King's attack fails to damage Sanji's stomach, leaving with only a scuffed cheek due to the fall damage to show

Not necessarily. Ace had better potential than Luffy. Luffy only has bigger potential rn because he's MC.

Ace rivaled Aokiji at Marineford. He died because he was careless and depended too much on his DF + he was tired as hell.
Luffy had a stronger conviction in his dream, and age equalized he blows Ace out of the water strength wise. Ace probably didn't have VoAT and he probably didn't have the talent to learn penetration ryuo in 1 week, let alone learn future sight in 12 hrs (after showing hints of it vs Mihawk).

You can call this MC power, but at a certain point you have to give this to his indomitable will, his dream (which shocked Sabo and Ace) and his amazing charisma as being part of his strength.

Luffy is Garp's grandson and son of Dragon that is on the same level as being the son of the pirate king if pedegree matters (which it doesn't seem to much considering Sabo is almost equal to Ace) and the mera mera no mi can't really match the might of boundman.

Queen had Luffy and Zoro in his jaw and didn’t bite down? X______x
Crappy herbivore teeth can't crush hakified rubber. Zoro just got lucky lol.

Yep. He literally landed 1 attack, that he only got because Sanji had Momo in his arms and was ignoring him.

In a real 1 v. 1 Sanji does not have Momo in his arms.

I find it so awesome and funny that, BEFORE WCI, during Dressrosa, almost most people were considering "Armament Haki" more important for fighting than observation haki... which lead to the underestimation of many characters who were said to be specializing in Observation....

After WCI, honestly observation haki specialist completely shows MUCH BETTER competence.... and now in Wano, Armament got on track and became somewhat able to compete with observation with the advanced Ryuu...

It's really nice that Oda in every arc, he changes the perception about what's more important in fights LOL...

I'm still waiting for the CoC being a big factor in a fight. I'm hoping it's with kaido here!

Maybe with Shanks.

BM: Learnt advanced CoO
Kaido: Learnt advanced CoA
Shanks: Learn advanced CoC

I think AdCoC would be hinted on in the fight against Kaido, like how AdCoA was hinted on in Katakuri'd fight. In the next arc Ad CoC should be expanded on like AdCoA was in Wano.

Maybe DF awakening has something to do with AdCoC, as I think only CoC users has shown awakening so far without losing their mental faculty.

It's similar to Hawkins landing those nails on Zoro because he had that girl around to protect.

This really puts into perspective how durable RS Sanji is for taking that hit the way he did.
Sanji tanked the hit with his own durability, RS does not give more durability.
It's not the same a old, weak person with a kevlar than a strong muscular man with a kevlar against some bullets. The later would resist much better that damage.
RS is not even a kevlar, it's durable and is a good defense against piercing/cutting attacks, but the energy behind those kind of attacks the user would still feel it and need to have good durability to tank it.
