Lol yeah he truly respects King.

Oda efinitely respects Beckman and Marco more than Katakuri. King is a bit more debatable but I'd argue it's pretty clear:

King:
1) Knocked off the Meme pirates ship (which is fucking massive)
2) Got a personal request from BM to join her crew
2) Has full command over the Tobiroppo
3) Has Kaido's respect based (at least way more than Katakuri had Big Mom's) - based on Kaido's reaction to King assembling the Tobiroppo and King giving Kaido his sword

And King won't get 1v1ed by anyone this arc, so he's taking on a group, unlike Kat.

The Sanji incident was admittedly kind of a massive L tho.
