If you read the prophecy, its not about defeating kaido, but its directed towards wano. About opening borders and all... wano will see the dawn once the borders are open something like that. Related to the overall big picture.

The thing is Oda set it up that he has to die and Kaido if he sees an opportunity to die he will take it. Oda said in his introduction.
He sank prison ships and escapes all the time. He will just keep getting back up. The peoe keep saying over and over again to take his head not just beat him. When Oden had him down he said take his head. Scabbards said its not over till his head is off. People said nobody has been able to take his head. The foreshadowing is clear. Kaido not going to be down for good unless his head is gone

Hot take: Enies Loby alone really isn't that great. Solid to good, but not "great".

The Water 7 arc is the true masterpiece of the CP9 saga. If this one wasn't so great in terms of buildup etc., Enies Lobby would not be considered a top tier arc.

No, because Kaido always escapes and sink ships. They can't kill him. The whole damn Wano is about cutting his head. They have repeated that so many times even a 3 year old could see that foreshadowing
