At that time I agree most likely not, but issue is Oda has cloaked Zoro's power for 10 years which I find very annoying, and im also annoy how he has used my main man Sanji... Mr. Prince as a hype tool
Mate, you gotta stop leaping off basic statements into asinine claims that no one ever made.
The birdcage is not a person. It's a move. It doesn't have "combat ability". You can compare it's durability to Kaido's skin, but that's as far as you can go. Unlike Barto's barrier, we've seen all of Doffy's strings CAN be broken, you just need to be strong enough (i.e. Luffy and Parasite). Zoro wasn't.
No one tried to cut the Birdcage. If anything cutting it would of either result in strings flying around randomly, making it even more dangerous, or do nothing as the birdcage simply replaces the destroyed string.
Everyone who has importance put their faith of Doffy's defeat solely on Luffy's shoulders.
Can't zoro fight Kaido first then get into his !v1?
Think about it for a moment. Zoro has been complaining for lke 10 chapters about getting to Kaido. EVen if King himself shows up right now and declares he's the *th Strongest swordsman in the world who once fought Mihawk himself, Zoro won't care. He wants to help Kin'emon. Like Even if Zoro gets forced to fight someone else of any level of strength, he will be distracted the entire fight since he doesnt actually want to fight anyone now.
I don't think Oda would write a Zoro fight where Zoro cleaarly doesnt want to fight the person and is constantly complaining. Zoro enjoys fights. It would suck if his main 1v1 is like not even his priority.
The only way this is possible is if somehow Zoro gets convinced that he shouldnt go up there. And there doesn't seem to be anything around that can convince him of that given he just saw Kiku's arm fall.
So why not the other way round. Zoro gets up to Kaido. He teams up with Luffy and whoever else is there. The fight kaido long enough for the scabbards to Leave the battleground and then King arrives to interfere and Zoro decides to deal with him.
MAinly, Zoro has to stop worrying about what's happening on the roof. That's the main thing. He can't get into a fight in this state. So Zoro gets to the roof, cuts up Kaido and then King comes in to interfere and Zoro deals with him once he has seen the situation on the roof is under control and the scabbards are safe.
Does't that work better?
It even clears up the whole power scaling issue of how can Zoro fight kaidoo after an extreme diff with KIng? well he can't. Zoro goes in relatively fresh with Kaido and manages to cut him up and takes no damage since there are other people fighting with him who can distract Kaido. And then Zoro fights King without having taken much damage or used much energy agasint Kaido. Done.
It also makes sense that the last fight of each strawhat in the arc is their 1v1. It's weird for Zoro's last fight to be a team battle.
I dont see It as weird at ALL, but yeah can happen this way too.
Zoro can want whathever he wants, One piece doenst work of what they want, Luffy wanted to free ace for a whole Arc in a prison and couldnt, Marineford same.
Zoro can want to be there, as sanji want, jimbe too, Will they ALL be there then? Cause they want? Or kaido crew that IS really strong wont let such thing happen? I bet on what i Said.

It really depends on what Marco's role is in this arc.
It would be a letdown during that big of a royal rumble for Marco to just stall and stall big mom over and over again.
I would love admirals or Shanks to show and fight big mom ( they don't need to do it all on the mainland Shanks or Admirals can have sneaky entrance and encounter her and keep her at bay )
That would allow marco to maybe fight King I guess?
Then Zoro vs WsW or Queen.
My most wanted matchup is ofc Zoro vs King but this arc shapes up to some weird format with each chapter.

Zoro VS Apoo (Win) >> Go After Kaido. Meet King then Zoro Vs King
Sanji VS Who Who (Win) >> Go After Kaido. Meet Queen then Sanji Vs Queen
Jinbe & Luffy VS Kaido until their friends coming to battlefield.

I dont realize that because LOTS of context still needed until his fight happen, he can be okay until then. Now he wants kaido, like sanji and jimbe wants too. Will they ALL be there with Luffy, kid and Law now? I dont think so

I don’t go get why people say this Marco is potentially the strongest member of the alliance and he’s gonna fight someone who’s the number 3?
Marco wouldn’t even have to grow in this fight either like say if it was Zoro or sanji they would have to grow in order to defeat king
Marco is probably gonna fight one of the Yonko imo
