Especially considering that Oda has never made any effort to actually give Zoro a main versus of his supposed caliber. Amazing story-telling, indeed; just like making him a top tier right since the timeskip because who cares about interesting development as long as he can defeat the strongest since half of the whole story albeit we won't see such performance until end of series?

Zoro handle hyozo better than Luffy, handle monet better than luffy, handle pica better than luffy, handle hawkins better than luffy, handle Fujitora better than Luffy. Now he handle apoo better than luffy. Everytime they fight the same opponent, Zoro always handle them better than Luffy. That mean anyone who Luffy can handle, then Zoro can do better

Zoro would have been murdered by Crocodile, Lucci, Doflamingo... and stands zero chance against Luffy.
