Pretty terrible chapter. Nothing happened. We got a trivial flashback of Ace. When there are literally hundred of unresolved story lines, Oda decides to add one more story line into the mix. Like why? This is why One Piece is 25 years old and has 1000 chapters because so many chapters are devoted to filler and people conflate "world building" with filler.

How was that filler

The French scantrad translated Marco's speech as "I'm too old to take kaido" when viz and the english one said "for now, I am not targetting Kaido directly"
That's why I asked the raw, looks like this time the French scantrad made a mistake ;)

Gotta admit this was a brilliant move by Oda giving Kaido fish fish fruit that has gained the ability to tranform into a dragon.
That means Dragon probably has the original and most op version of that devil fruit
