Character Discussion One Piece fans that mocked Naruto for destiny bull shit look like clowns now

It is because you have a low iq not to understand how he is baiting you.

Naruto was born at a time of war. Killing is surviving. Every ninja has to kill to survive. Sasuke had his entire clan killed by other ninjas that negated him love. It is so cheap to say well dude you should not kill other people when the entire konoha is using sasuke as a weapon.

I can go on philosophical debates why naruto stomps one piece but i am not going to bother because most of you will still complain how naruto got that power up.

In the end lurker said kishimoto did not contradict himself which makes his other statements futile.

Naruto is underrated because hating on it is currently a trend and people just look at what they wanna see not what actually happend.
I wouldnt say it stomps One piece tho.

Luffy was never stated to be an average joe, we had little information about his background in East Blue but from Drum island onwards he had a connection to the Pirateking with Kureha mentionning the initial D, then in post EL it is revealed that he's related to a legendary marine and to the world's worst criminal

I'd be disappointed if he ends up being a chosen one but it'll never be as bad as Naruto who was written to be a loser from chapter 1, a failure that needed to work harder than others to succeed and whose entire character revolved around defying fate in order to accomplish things he wasn't meant to

I'm seeing that a lot, but is that really the impression Naruto gave?

His dialogues aside, he was far from destiny-defying, hard working dude. A majority of his power-ups and big moments in Part I came from Nine Tailed Fox, which is the biggest cheese out of any of his peers.

Hell, a good portion of Sasuke's jealousy in P1 came from how Naruto quickly caught up to him and even surpassed him on occasion, and it wasn't because of Naruto's hard work, but mostly that sweet 9 tailed chakra lol

It wasnt easy to get 9 tails chakra too. Jiraiya throw him to die for him to learn how to get just a LITTLE 9 tails chakra, naruto DID work hard for his powers, he had some luxurys but he worked hard to make those luxurys work.

also it was always high chance of kurama taking control so he was doing risk too, couldnt always use it

Mocking Sasuke for losing his Virginity?
Eren's plan at the end was a shittier version of Sasuke's end goal (before giving up vs Naruto).

Made even worse by the "What if Mikasa falls in love with someone else?!" lol

Never said it was easy, but it was still insane levels of jump that would not be available to anyone not him.

Imagine working hard and your reward is getting water (consider it synonym for power). Most people would work hard to unlock a door with a pool of water. Naruto had an entire ocean worth.

Your right but im talking to people who deny Naruto working Hard

One Piece NEVER had a blatant underdog, talent vs hard work storyline. Luffy steam rolled every major arc villain until Arlong. Where he had minor hiccup of his own making. Then smashed every other villain until Croc.

Naruto on the other hand. From the moment the manga opened. Was a underdog story. Which explicitly told us multiple times Naruto is a loser. And pretty much every major fight Naruto had was in some way about changing your fate.

during Naruto vs Dog dude. Kurenai multiple times says how Naruto is outmatched, and overwhelmed. Neji vs Naruto… literally just listen to the ending speech Naruto gives Neji. Hell even Gaara vs Naruto had a major undertone of changing one’s fate. Not as overt as Neji vs Naruto. But Sasukes envy, and continued decent by being passed up by Naruto, and Naruto quite literally hammering into Gaaras head that didn’t need to be the monster the village viewed him as. Was about changing one’s fate.

it’s NOT the child of a prophesy that makes a bad story. It was the undermining of core themes spread across pretty much the entire first half of Naruto. That makes the prophesy so bad in Naruto,

When it was revealed that Naruto was a reincarnation of Ashura, and everything he’d done had been pre-destined, people lost their fucking minds.

“What happened to themes of willpower and effort overcoming adversary?!!”

“The appeal of Naruto being a protagonist who overcame more powerful antagonists with creativity and effort is ruined!!”

Does any of this sound familiar?

It should, because what happened with Naruto’s character is literally happening to Luffy before our very eyes.

For an entire decade, One Piece fans have shit on Naruto for the MC becoming a tool of destiny.

This is a bruh moment of epic proportions.
:ihaha:
Imu will be Kaguya 2.0, just wait.

The difference is One Piece was always about special destiny so it’s not as surprising. Plus Oda is a bit better of a storyteller.

Kubo wrote 1 great arc, and the rest is mediocre to shit. Cool characters and action though, Bleach will always have a special place in my heart, but I think Kubo earned every bit of the criticism. Bleach lacks substance, it's pretty shallow as a whole.
Is the one great arc soul society arc or arrancar arc?

One Piece fans put the manga on a level it's never been, One Piece has always been close to Bleach, Naruto and Fairy Tail, basic Shounen for the standard shounen reader.

and there were still crazy people who compare One Piece with HXH, completely deluded and fanatical.
Facts

also Luffy being a fated child contradicts his notion of freedom.

How can destiny be "bullshit" in any fictional work if the fact that it's a fictional work means that it is written by someone with a project in mind about what will happen in the story?
If Oda began to write a story about how the protagonist will become the pirate king, then that means the protagonist is destined to become the pirate king.

This is why it's always silly when a character says something such as that "everything happens by chance", when it was clearly not by chance that the author wrote the character saying that.

Anyone who says Naruto is better than OP needs to be reminded

Naruto solution to achieve peace is to be A LITERAL PUNCHING BAG for his psychotic bestie. Good thing that worked out in the end.

Naruto cranks this up to 1000 in the first arc with talk no jutsu starting with zabuza to the point where hes crying. Sure it makes sense why but golly zee batman it sure is convenient the hardened killer had a change of heart with this random ass kid even though he has more of a reason to murder this punk to get back at his sensei who MURDERED HIS PARTNER WHO HE FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGED AS A FRIEND! Sure hope he doesn't do this with Gara, Pain, Obito, and Sasuke who were set up to be the most inhumane pieces of shit.

People who think Naruto is better than OP are either masochist or generally think cold blooded murders can be this thin skinned in holding their ideals. The best of Naruto barely scraps by the most average of OP arcs and I'm dying to see people actually explain why thats not the case.

Because thats not the point of Joy boys impact on the story. It revolves around the inherinted will theme that has been prevalent from the start of the series and JB is the culmination of that with someone holding on to ideals and dreams that can stretch as far back from centuries. Going back to the main theme of the story of accomplishing ones dreams. Luffy couldn't be the person he was if it wasn't for shanks and same for shanks if it wasn't for Roger etc.

But the bad guys who done none of that end up being the most powerful with zero consequence to their actions and naruto goes to great lengths trying to rationalize it even thinking theyre the COOLEST!

Naruto wasn't ass because of the destiny plot line nor did it contradict its message because of it. Because it was a mess long before that full of contradictions in its work. I could make enemies by talking trash about the whole ordeal with Itachi. The morale of Naruto is to develop Stockholm syndrome and it might all work out in the end!
People forgot how dogshit Naruto was in its later stages.

Wano is a masterpiece compared to that.
