The NXonNetflix posted some tweets about live-action but deleted these tweets some minutes after. So, all I know is Oda choose Matt Owens for his loving of OP story & writing and he doesn't revealed to him the end of OP.

Oda-sensei weighs in on all the scripts and advises on many aspects of the series, including casting. He didn’t tell Matt how One Piece ends either, so don’t bother asking.

One Piece means a lot to Matt, he credits it with helping him overcome depression in his twenties. “It honestly saved my life.” That personal connection is one of the reasons Oda-sensei agreed to the series.

Matt says the magic of One Piece is that every episode “makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you go ‘HOLY S--T!’” and that’s what he wants the live action series to deliver. His favorite characters are Law, Sanji, and Robin.
