There is a rumor about Vivi's actress being already cast and being the Palestinian actress Tara Abboud.

Apparently a Twitter account that claims to be an insider did spread the rumor about Vivi being cast, and someone else in the meanwhile noticed her following just recently Inaki Godoy,so people connected the dots and did spread this rumor. Who knows if its true! I think she wouldnt be a bad choice look-wise,but i never see her while acting so we'll see.

Nice, manga accurate casting = important character = bigger chance to join sh in near future!!!
Woops, this is not nakama thread....

Apparently crocodile also might be cast as Joe Manganiello. Wikipedia says his 2 highest profile roles before this were as Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man and Death Stroke in the Joss Whedon version of Justice league (although he had very few lines and screen time in that). I also like that he’s 6’5, I liked the arlong actor but he seemed too small although it’s obviously still shorter than crocodile’s real height of 8’4. @Bisoromi Bear @NikaInParis

He was also in True Blood,Magic Mike and How I Met Your Mother. He is really versatile, and i guess he would be a good Crocodile! (Considering the fact that we cant have the ideal casting: Steven Seagal!)

In the Interview Matt Owens did with Hassan Piker he talked about Usopp.
He revealed that there were A LOT more moments from usopp in episode 7 and 8 but those did not make the final cut.
When they did the finale edit for episode 7+8 Matt Owens could not be part of the edit because of the writters strike.
So he had no involvement in the final edit of those episodes.
He says that there is a lot more filmed footage of usopp
- creating his special attacks
- His fight against choo
- His internal struggle that he needs to be brave
Matt Owens also promises that they will do Usopp justice in season 2.

Apparently Matt Owen’s had beef with Steve Maeda and Maeda isn’t a writer anymore (He’s still showrunner)?

I never liked Steven Maeda (he used Twitter to politicize One Piece in the past, comparing Celestial Dragons to Trump and Luffy to Kamala Harris, and other similar things) so i approve if he is not the showrunner anymore. Especially if he really acted badly in the set as Matt Owens seems to suggest in the interview.

He was also responsible for the Garp plotline

which was good, imo

one piece is extremely political. the trump-celestial dragon comparison is very accurate, but...luffy and kamala harris...kamala harris is excrement and if she existed in OP she'd just be another corrupt, genocide-and-slavery-enabling government dog...just like in real life, ohohoho!~.

i dont know the context of how he acted (i havent watched any interviews or anything behind-the-scenes), so i dunno what was wrong with him, but i dont care that he got removed because whatever cheese france rice.

How about for Bon Clay?
Bon Chan needs to be played by a non binary actor, that would be more respectful of the character and non binary people in general. I'm not a specialist of Non Binary actor but I've made a bit of research and a few names seems interesting:

J. Harrison Ghee

Perfect in term of charisma, range of emotion and stature, but I need to see them in a live action role to be sure of their real acting skills.

Vico Ortiz

Definitly has the range for Bonchan and the friendly aspect too... maybe too friendly. We would need to see how they do in bad mode.

Terry hu

They seems to have the range of emotion but look a tiny bit young and seems too friendly (although this might play in favor of Bon Chan). With a good training, they could do very well (Imagine Sanji is complete distress in front of this beautiful actor... and who wouldn't know what to think, I think that it could be hilarious)

It would be a bold choice as Bon Chan looks more masculine that they looks feminine but I'm not against that type of change

Mason Alexander Park

My current crush for the role of Bon Chan. They would be absolutely perfect. We would need to check if their comedic range is there but they are on point in all other aspects.

My finger is currently pointed at Mason Alexander Park for Bon Chan with a hearth on J. Harrison Ghee.

Barney stinson, hardcore womanizer, was played by a gay dude in the best way imaginable. . .
There is a difference in term of representation between a gay guy playing a straight guy and a straight guy playing a gay guy.

Also, Barney stinson is the worst kind of straight imaginable... the character definitely did not aged well.

He still played the character perfectly, even if you dislike the character, so thats kind of missing my point real hard.
