News One Piece: Vivre Card (Data book)-Discussion Thread

You're late because I countered that argument multiple times already.

Those are all scene taken from the manga. In the manga he is using blackened haki so that means there's a possibility his sword is coated with haki. If you wish to claim that's not true you have to prove that's not the case since it's common for characters to cope swords in haki.

In the manga his fingertips were coated with haki but that is missing from the vivre card and color scheme which means there is a mistake. Now you have to answer the question why was that left off. Even if they did intentionally leave it off that doesn't mean that his sword isn't coated in haki.

Finally we don't have any info in the manga or in any official source information claim the sword is a black blade. We have seen GB fight multiple times and nobody has ever made a single comment about his sword being black.

There is zero proof GB has a black blade.
Even they don’t genuinely believe in that crap they are pushing the idea is for twerkbull have life line he can cling to because rat utterly humiliated him.

What does bum like twerkbull have in common with Ryuma or Mihawk they are polar opposite in every possible way lmao
What part of the character Greenbull is based on is infamous for being a monster with the sword while at the same time rejecting the way of the Sword and Samurai don't you get ?

He's Navy Admiral but is dressed like a pirate, others use a sheathe while he just sticks the blade in his pants.

"Yet, due to the interference of the 'Clown,' the Cross Guild embarks on an unexpected journey... What does 'Hawk Eyes' seek? Peace, or perhaps the 'One Piece'?"

"He dismisses idle chatter with a laugh but agrees with hiding in the shadow of a Yonko. However, Buggy's declaration throws Mihawk's strategy into disarray."

Nothing but sheer illiteracy.
There is not a single shred of evidence anywhere except the voices in your head... which says Mihawk dreamt of being a PK and then failed.
He is being forced against his will (just like Crocodile) to participate in the current race for One Piece due to Buggy's interference.
Lmao at roger excuation it said mihawk and others left their dream of becoming PK, just lying to urself:willight:

I think my interpretation is more consistent with their characters. I don't think either Mihawk or Shanks are delusional about their strength. My view is that Mihawk doesn't think a one-armed man can be a swordsman while Shanks thinks that despite his loss of an arm it would still be a contest. Remember Shanks had no problem with the idea of a duel and even kinda threatened Mihawk that he was in a bad mood. Your interpretation has to put Shanks in the position of delusional which is something Oda hasn't portrayed . Mine maintains Mihawk's integrity with the idea of a swordsman, while also maintaining that Shanks isn't being foolish about his chances in a fight.
Despite the loss of an arm, it is definitely a contest ofcourse. I never said otherwise, by weaker i meant a tad bit.

I primarily disagree that Shanks losing an arm disqualifies him as a swordsman in Mihawk's eyes. After all, Zoro has fought 2 opponents who's entire schtick was them having more swords/arms than Zoro and yet they got clapped.

I don't think that comparison works. I think Oda was telling us with Buggy that Shanks had PK potential. So it isn't like with Yamato where there is no indication that she has Kaido level potential. When they clash she even comments that her Bagua is inferior.
Agreed, that comparision was just about inheriting techniques. Shanks had PK potential before he lost his main arm, that much Buggy confirmed for me.

Yeah it would be amazing to see. The previous vivre card says they sharpened swords against each other which means they used each other to get stronger.

With all the above, I'm still fine if they're equal:kayneshrug: As far as we know they are the only top tiers who regularly duelled to the point of them being legendary. They are probably the most skilled combatants we should realistically see. Mihawk for instance couldn't even get tagged off-guard at MF.
Absolutely. Mihawk doesnt carry a single open wound & Shanks has like 10 sec+ FS usage.

I think of their clashes as fights which can end with a single opening, but the two fighters are so skilled that it is hard to find that. Either exchanging techniques or having the defense/reactions to block/dodge anything.

Hasn’t used his sword single time hyped his logia df first time we see him in action. Gets another chance he still relied on his broccoli form
