Romania is so pissed over the treatment of their athletes that the Prime Minister has stated that he is not going to attend the closing ceremony. Between him and the Slovakian representative, that is two nations the French oLympics have miffed to the point of not attending the closing ceremony. :crazwhat:

Tbh considering how they amped up their clownishness I'd propose for France to be an honirary Balkan state...but then again, it's France and that's too much even for us here:odenugh:

Tis a bit gutting but personally, I would rather compete in my natural weight class than dehydrate myself like a feckin raisin just to have a competitive advantage over athletes that are naturally in a lower weight class.

They were apparently giving her IV fluids after the disqualification to rehydrate her. If this is as common as that doctor claims then they should the sport committees should do something about this cause that is just unnatural. :risicheck:

Some UFC fighters end up looking like ghouls after cutting weight. Going through weight fluctations of +- 7-8 kgs in less than a day before your fight isn't good on the body long term. And that's without the physical toll the actual combat takes from you
