Yeah Zoro is Luffys subordinate, but so was WB for Xebec. What happened to WB? Did he stay a no name? No, he was rogers second biggest rival. Mihawk is also a "underling" but is wss at the same time. It doesn't matter how you put it, zoro will surpass the old legends and his biggest rival Mihawk who himself is the only one with the title of the strongest right now.

Anyone who truly believes zoro will be nothing more than an underling is 100% salty and trolling.

Mihawk yes but not the old legends. Mihawk has admitted inferiority to both Roger and WB at Marineford.

As for the whole subordinate thing Rox’s crew were never really cooperating with one another out of respect for their captain. They all joined cause they had similar goals. They were never a proper pirate crew to begin with. They’d likely stab each other in the back if it meant they would benefit from it. Very different from a regular crew.
