Character Discussion POLL: Is Luffy having multiple power ups via Haki Bloom within a short time frame good writing

At least we see him progressing one step at a time from Doflamingo to Cracker to Katakuri to Kaido. And he had to fight and lose to earn his power ups

Sanji went from getting owned by a genie to fighting against Queen in base and Zoro got stronger offscreen. And let's not talk about being gifted Enma and the raid suit, especially the raid suit which was a completely free powerup with no drawbacks

Luffy and the crew getting stronger in a very short time doesn't make much sense compared to the other top tiers who spent years in training. But it had to happen because the plot can't handle another timeskip

When you have a weak and ineffective character and you want to drag his ass through fights which he isnt made for, you have to stuff him with every power up that you can possibly think off.
The bad writting part is that even with all of that, he is still bad...

luffy climbed his ladder through fighting strong opponents like doffy, cracker, katakuri, big mom in udon & then kaido.

But you wont hear any complain from this clown when zoro got straighthead to kaido from pica.

He went from being fodderized by the weakest CP9 members to beating the strongest in the same arc, his growth is nothing new since Oda has made it clear that Luffy is "special".

Other characters have made growth similar to Luffy or seen perform previously thought impossible feats for their level at the time but Luffy is being singled out here.

Insane feats applied to ones favorite are okay but when it comes Luffy it's not because it's seen as "asspull".

Oda was always like that, in critical situations his characters grow. Zoro unlocking breath of all things against mr1, zoro and sanji unlocking dj and ashura against kaku and juabura and ussop unlocking CoO against sugar. And let's not forget that Luffy has been in hellish battles way more than his crew members plus he is the chosen one no matter how we like it or not.
For me everything is ok with Luffy's power ups, one thing that i want is oda to show us how Luffy protect his self when he is taking a hit that a moment ago koed him and a moment later is fine.
That could be explained with the use of adv. CoA or something like CoC shield but i want to read it in the manga and not speculating lol.....

Luffy coming into Post TS has the arsenal to take down Yc2-Yc1.. with the right matchups .. but guess what every single matchup he has had was tipped against his DF.. Doffy, Katakuri, Cracker etc all of them had DF's to counter and keep Luffy's gear 4th busy and in 2 major occasion he had a time limit to how long the battle would last (Katakuri and Doffy) . he had to develop from some his worst match ups hence the power ups he received.. which honestly is a very logical way to justify his growth throughout post time skip..

the Coc development was logical as well since he applied what he learned from hyogro with coc.

i don't see what's so unreasonable and illogical aboit Luffy's growth

even as it stands Zoro and Sanji are having arguably better matchups for them.

he factually never knew what Df doffy used.. or from doffy's reaction to sanji's intervention it would have been a sight of a match if doffy hadn't used cheap tricks to restrain sanji and ofc the matchup wasn't even in the favor of sanji due to DF advantage.. like doffy had against Luffy.

This horse shit idea that Haki blooms in critical situations only applies to Luffy, sitting here waiting for Kidd and Law and Killer and Zoro who fought insanely hard to get a haki bloom while Luffy got around 2 already

Let's be honest here, the cheap trick wouldn't have take Doffy as far as it did against Sanji if Sanji was equal or close to Doffy level. During Dressrosa arc straw hats pirates were meant to be Doffy crew level or around it, Oda just uped everyone level after that arc where only Luffy had actual growth by fighting strong opponents back to back.

To be honest, after haki introduction devil fruit advantage hardly matters.

nobody complained that zoro pulled advcoc out of nowhere when he did not have coc
but people would complain that the coc specialist would an advanced method of using coc after witnessing it multiple times on himself

You either complain Zoro going from Defeating Pica to scarring Kaido, Sanji from getting clowned by Doffy to somehow be able to handle Hybrid Queen in his base as well or you don't complain about what happened to Luffy.
In Luffy's case we at least got see his growth. Not only that this is not the first time Oda make the Strawhats as strong as they need to be, just look at Water 7 and Ennies Lobby.

Most people are complaining because Luffy is distancing himself from certain characters (what would obviously happen and only blind people negated that).
So if you have been calling shit writing since Ennies Lobby then you can call this one as well shit writing but I suspect most of you don't.

-Luffy unlocks 10 new power ups on the fly (by copying enemy) and fodderize BB
