Ranking the Soulsborne-Sekiro Games

I’m not too deep into the games or lore, however I was always fascinated by the many boss ranking videos and game series ranking videos

I think I would like to look at a very in depth video on why Souls 2 is deemed as so bad

Aye.
Hot take time.

I actually think Sekiro is the weakest game story wise, it’s my opinion that for story you either have to commit to full on obscurity/lore or do a straightforward narrative.

Whenever you try to do a hybrid approach it doesn’t work, and a lot of straightforward plot points come across ass pulls.

Like the second mortal blade, if you didn’t do Isshin’s side quest and read the associated items, Genichiro literally just pulls a second mortal blade out of nowhere to resurrect Isshin.

The Elden Ring DLC had a similar issue where the context for the Consort Radahn reveal as behind side/optional content.

I personally don’t really think stuff like this works.
Sekiro's "storytelling" suffers from the main character basically being a mute. I feel like if they'd invest in some fancy Japanese mofo like that dude from Shogun tv-show who plays in every possible Japanese movie, they'd struck a bit better with the fans.

Sekiro's storytelling works because it's subtle and not invasive, I feel like a lot of Soulslike meatriders would lose brain cells if they had to read/listen a bit more during cutscense and else.

But on the other hand I can understand why people would not rate it high. Personally, the game works for me, in every aspect.

Oh, and I will never forget that fucking bull.

Damn no one likes Dark Souls 2
DS2 is my favorite game to run on most days I'd say, @EmperorKinyagi keeps bickering with me about it
DS1 is a beauty of a game, but mechanically it's hot garbage
DS3 is amazing and has the best fighting mechanics, but as a player you don't have many options routing your playthrough. With DS2 you can do whatever the fuck you want and access whatever area you want early in the game

I had the unfortunate pleasure to play DS2 all the way back during its debut, when it was at its worst, like all the bugs and messy gameplay aside, I've seen the worst of it. So the lasting brain damage is there, I was questioning if it was me or the game that is fucked up.
Yo welcome back my man
DS2 on release was wack, co-op was godly then with all the cheating and noob hunting

What’s the most difficult game for you guys?
Endgame/Shadow of the Erdtree Elden Ring. Though there's so many builds and way you can approach things though, but some of the bosses and even regular movies are ridiculous. Some of the lion dudes literally have an endgame DS3 boss's moveset.

In terms of story, I would rate the games:

DS1>ER>DS2>Bloodborne>>Sekiro/DS3>Demon Souls.

DS2 has pretty cool lore, it's a nice story.

Bloodborne for sure
Honestly I was expecting for you both to say Sekiro. I heard that one wrong move and you can pretty much get clapped

Finally! It’s refreshing to see DS2 get more props! But damn “The game tries to be difficult” is crazy 💀💀💀
