Luffy and Roger are both insane.
Roger was a previous reincarnation of joyboy. Him having the Voice of all things and luffy;s exact dream prove it. Still does not change the fact that got that strong without a deivl fruit.
Luffy is insane
Luffy never trained his physical strength until wano, never had any weapons training and he never had any martial arts training but made it to Yonko level without Awakening his devil fruit. All Luffy had is his fruit and Haki. No fighting style.

Reading last chapter i realised how insane Gol D Roger was
He wasn't the chosen one
He didnt had the chosen one fruit of a God and still reached the top
and found One piece
Beat Rocks to who had 3 yonko as his subordinate + shiki who was also a top tier
Swatted Lolden like a Fly
and matched WB in his prime who was the strongest of all
He was a D but we got Saul and Law s parrents who are also D but fodders so it doesn't matter
He reached it with swordsmanship
Shows how overpowered a swordsman can be
