Most of the group which says that shit expected Zoro to fight YC3 Kyoshiro or Smoothie at best. And then the rooftop fight happened with CoC reveal as the cherry on top - royally shitting on their headcanons about Zoro's power level. The big bad Zoro fans who they termed as a cult, delusional and retards were actually right all along.

So now they resort to copium filled takes like "rooftop had no powerscaling", "rooftop was fanservice" and "post TS itself has no powerscaling" because Oda took a fat dump on their headcanons.

Interpretation of one piece plot is now more based on what agenda one has


If sanji or other character would have been involved then their fans would have wanked them to heaven.

But since it was zoro and his portrayal along with Luffy destroyed their headcannon bubble then they have found a new way to cope with this - call it fanservice.


It's just another way of denial mechanism from some insecure fans


But guess what - regardless of what they think, one cannot run away from the reality that it's CANNON

Because it accomplished nothing, it was like: Kid does nothing, Law does nothing, Killer performs one attack, Luffy's attacks do nothing, end then; Zoro scares two Emperors, Zoro unleashes the first attack that forces Kaido to avoid it, Zoro blacks "the most powerful attack in one piece" and continues fighting, Zoro scars Kaido, Zoro overpowers Kaido's thunder with his thunder, Zoro takes thunder bagua with broken bones.

If Kid and Law weren't USELESS in rooftop then I "personally" wouldn't consider it as "fanservice," but since the entire rooftop was Zoro, Zoro, Zoro and again Zoro + still more Zoro, then I don't see any reason for rooftop's existence other than Zoro. It was like Zoro: Kid and Law, can I "chime in" into your fights even though my main opponent in this arc is King? KId and Law: Yes of course, welcome dude. Zoro: can I also steal all your feats and make you completely useless? Kid and Law: yes please!!!

It portrayed that Zoro is the strongest supernova alongside Luffy and can protect Luffy with his life when required. The “Hey Kaido, thats my captain” moment implied that Zoro would go any length to protect Luffy and is truely the right hand man, Oda also added Killer in rooftop and showed the realtionship b/w Kidd and Killer. Later on we got killer’s “Go partner” moment paralleling Zoro’s thriller bark moment.
