Their relative power levels and power sets are very relevant to the topic of Sanji not having future sight and how that lines up with Luffy being portrayed as better at haki than either Zoro or Sanji, in the areas they specialize in, he needs to be, he's going to be fighting the very top guys in the world while they fight the subordinates.
