What the logic here?
How does Shinra Tensei hurt Minato when he can simply teleport to safety? It's a technique that be timed in seconds and countered accordingly. Minato's reaction speed alone makes it a virtual impossibility he'll get caught in it, or fail to counter it.
"Tiny chakra pool" - are you fucking nuts, dude? Setting aside a large chakra pool is a requisite for senjutsu, did you lose track of the kind of jutsu Minato was performing?
Pain can have all the firepower he wants, it won't matter if he can't actually land anything on Minato.
Minato is a hard counter stylistically.

All that does is scatter them further away for the next one. That doesn't help Pain, that makes it more difficult to keep track for him and easier for his opponent to escape harm.
Besides, not only does Minato have a safehouse to teleport back to, he can cross vaster distances and spread his kunai faster than Pain can keep up with.
Shinra Tensei is an AoE attack. By definition, it is hard-countered by space-time ninjutsu that can teleport the user away from the affected area and back with in a second.
Look at how Pain got beat in the manga. It was simple timing. That's child's play to Minato.
Likewise, Susano'o is rendered to an expensive, time constrained shield that can still be bypassed completely.
Besides, not only does Minato have a safehouse to teleport back to, he can cross vaster distances and spread his kunai faster than Pain can keep up with.

A Shinra Tensei on the scale that leveled Konoha is basically unavoidable without prior intel. Minato’s not reacting to that unless he already marked a seal in another city lol. Any large-scale Shinra Tensei or a Chibaku Tensei is a straight GG. Pain can just bait Minato into entering his range and drop it. Minato has to get close. Universal Push/Pull also lets Pain manipulate Minato’s positioning and force him into using FTG defensively instead of offensively.
I’m taking the guy who, while heavily nerfed, still wiped out Konoha and could’ve sealed the Nine-Tails without sacrificing himself, something Minato couldn’t do. Pain simply has higher portrayal. Evident by the fact that Nagato was destroying KCM Naruto, Bee, and Itachi at the same time. A teen Bee managed to analyze FTG btw, and he was punking Minato even while marked.
The panel below exists as well lol, Sage Mode Naruto was already stated to have surpassed both Minato and Jiraiya. It makes sense, way stronger stats bar speed from FTG, Naruto pretty much already beat his dad in ninjutsu with rasenshuriken. With that in mind, I don’t think that Minato has much room for a clean win here, as his offensive output is limited compared to SM Naruto. Preta path powers just cancels out any Rasengan lmfao.
