What makes no sense about this is the fact that Gaban is a well known and legendary pirate.

His bounty is likely 2-3 billion

If it was him everyone would know who it was. Especially if he has some special DF, as Teach literally saw the RP in action.

This is why I defer to it being Imu. Nobody would be able to recognize him outside the CDs. He has a motive to take the poneglyph. And he has a legendary DF.

Rayleigh was literally auctioned as a random ass old man in Sabaody. These people are more hidden than you think.

Tbh, I dont think it is him. In theory, all that we know about Burn Scar could be tied to Scopper.
But it would all have to make sense while now it doesn't.
He has supposedly lived for 20 years in Elbaf so it is unlikely that he wanders the seas in black ship sinking ppl with DF powers...

He was seen near Crocus though "recently", so he does indeed travel outside of Elbaf unlike Saul who has mentioned hes hiding out there.

These bounty posters probably show them 20+ years ago which, scopper certainly looks different and Rayleigh looks different enough that most people will not recognize them.

I think there’s a difference between the average joe not knowing what Ray/Gaban would look like after twenty years of retirement, and whether the people who would genuinely be hunting for the RP’s would know.

Like, people did recognise Ray. Some of the Marines went to Garp and said they thought it was him. And Robin, Kid and Law recognised him immediately.

However, I do agree, pretty likely to be Gaban regardless.

1 RP was pratically gifted to them by the Minks for saving them.
2 were convenient in possession of the 2 Filler Yonkos. A very functional excuse to actually make sense fighting them for the One Piece race.
1 Being kept not simply by Gaban, but by Gaban IN ELBAPH, which might be one of the most secure islands possible due to the giants' fame (like Wano, but Crydo was there), makes perfect sense.

But being gatekept by the WG as they have the 4th poneglyph and are able to stop anyone from finding the OP and starting the final war is also a very, VERY plausible outcome, especially after the 3 world story.

But there are timing differences.
Little rabid dog there said the Holy Knight being summoned has it....So? Is he bringing the freaking RP with him to Elbaph for the SHs to conveniently get?

The Black ship thing is also an important info. How often does Gaban travel around? We know he went kinda far away to meet Crocus. How old is this "man marked by flames on a black ship" legend? Considering the Roger Pirates had all the 4 RPs 20 or so years ago, if we speculate this flame man has it, then it is actually a recent thing. Could Gaban started this after roaming around for a while after the RP disbanded?

We STILL have the Mosa mystery person in play.

Everything adds up for now except for the black ship and the whirlpool ability (which could be his axe spinning around under the ocean tbh lol)
A ship like that needs a crew and Gaben for now seems to be travelling mostly by himself. He was the Roger's pirate navigator so he could have the neccessary skills to command a ship all by himself.

Personally I feel like the scar shaped like a flame is a red herring, Oda knows the fanbase has been theorizing that it is in Gaban's possession this is a way to give fans confirmation biased while continuing to lead them astray.

I hope that it isn't Gaban and that they (the Straw Hats) have to work for this last one as the first 3 have somewhat fallen in their laps at this point.

Gaban didn’t want someone like Kaido or BM to get their hands on it and he safely moved it during this time .

This reasoning is flawed for the fact that they had RP in their possession in the first place. If this were the case why did he let them get their hands on the RP they did have?

Also he is a navigator it would make sense he knows how to sink the ship when it comes near .

When have you ever seen a navigator have this type of ability? Nami has control over the weather and has yet to pull off a feat anywhere near this.

I am willing to bet with all 3 gentlemen I quoted that Gaban isn't the man with burn scar roaming around on seas with 4th RPG.
