Fuck Oda. I was 100% sure Yamato is joining and already prepared "Who is the least likeable Straw Hats" thread.

I think Yamato needs to fall in love with Zoro before Yamato joins.
Hancock already fell in love with Luffy, and I think Hancock is also set to join later.

Oda doesn't want romance between the Straw Hats, which is why it needs to happen before they join. This could also be one of the reasons Vivi did not join when they had the chance. Im clearly has something against Vivi, Shirahoshi, Blackbeard and Luffy. This to me implies these characters all have a part in the end game.

Yamato needs to fall in love with Zoro in Wano. If Yamato were to join now, Yamato would have no choice but to simply fall for Zoro. Oda wants to make a big deal out of it so he'll probably emphasise how alike Oden and Zoro are when the crew or maybe even Zoro alone return to Wano.
