Chapter Discussion Strawhats are irrelevant

#2
I can't forgive Oda for that. Absolutely all strawhats deserved attention and were initially much more interesting than those whom Oda imposes on us every new arc. As a lunami shipper I don't care anymore that Luffy and Nami are the king and queen on the cover, because it's not in the manga. At all. And the chapter in which they defended Robin was one of the best in this arc. It's a pity, but nothing can be fixed anymore. I think the time is hopelessly lost. Yes, we will get something, no doubt, but... Each of them deserved better. Literally each of them. And people still love them very much. It's hurts.

In the story, not only the beginning and the end are important, but also what is in between, you know. SH's fans live with expectations of something in the future. Oh, the second time, Oda drew a giant Nami with ice cream. Let's guess what that means? The truth is, some of us won't even live to see the end of the manga. And fans of the MAIN characters would like to get at least something in the story itself. I mean, in the manga itself.

basically arent connected to any plot point
Like, how Robin wasn't connected to the buster call/Saturn being the one that ordered the buster call on Ohara/knowledge of the Ohara/Clover being a D.?
Totally not connected to any plot point fr

There is only 1 main character in One Piece. That is Luffy.

At this point, the only hope is the holy knights building as end game antagonists for strawhats cause none of the other antagonists give a shit about them.
With the way things are currently, the strawhats final fight is going to be "cause Luffy" rather than anything meaningful.

Fighting against holy knights doesnt make them relevant most of them had fight in wano and still felt irrelevant

It's Nika Piece, we didn't even get a dialogue between Franky and Vega in this arc, MF was on his home island.
Oda 100% gets a hard on every time he introduces a new or reintroduces an old character, and those characters take away from the SH.
You have hundreds of marine ships in this arc and Oda made other characters handle them instead of the SH, a ''Yonko crew'' was just whining and panicking.

Not really true, he had franky and sanji help tremendously. I feel like Oda is taking turns with each strawhat in each arc

I feel like Franky and Sanji had their fair share of good moments in this arc and the strawhats as a whole have moments of camaraderie sprinkled here and there in the arc, it's just the arc is soooo long and so much thing are happening at the same time that it feels...disjointed. Franky can still talk to the remaining punk on the ship at the end of Egghead, there's no time now

They both did like 1 kick/punch once every 5-10 chapters. As a fan of both I would be disappointed if Oda considered these big moments for them and make them take a back seat in Elbaf.
Franky defeated a Vice Admiral and Sanji dealt huge damage to a Gorosei...not just a kick/punch

Sanji and Zoro are the only one that have consistent focus, i would agree with that. Sanji had cool moments in this arc but Oda still made him look not that good by the end of it, there is someone else that takes the shine. Only time he used a named attack in this arc was to kick Nika so they can send Mars flying. His strongest attack btw

Majority of Nami fandom has accepted Nami will get focus in last arc.
Outside of Luffy, strawhats are most relevant character.
Fan of some characters are waiting for at least 10 or 20 years for Little crumbs and strawhats get to be part of almost every arc.
Nami has been good in every arc except Egghead and dressrosa.
But it's not like any strawhat has done much more than her in Egghead arc.

We have new important character every arc and Oda focus on them more than strawhats.
Shirahoshi in Fishmen island
Law and Rebecca in dressrosa saga
Momo and Yamato in wano arc
Kuma and Bonney in Egghead arc.
Oda himself said he likes creating character more than story. I don't like side characters but we are not writing this. Whatever Oda wants, it is his story.

if Nami get focus in last arc, I am fine with that.
I don't have much expectations from her in Elbaf arc but there are some theories that relate her to Elbaf.
But Usopp is supposed to get focus in Elbaf arc.

Sanji already got good development in WCI.
WCI was good for Nami too.
Zoro got his fights in wano arc.

I want Nami to do more but so did fans of every other character.
That's just me being greedy.
Oda already show more love to Nami than any other character.
