True. Strong women and One Piece rarely go together. Off the top of my head, BM, Smoothie and Hancock are strong women in OP.

Big Mom is a top tier and is repeatedly described as a creature devoid of logic and reasoning. Her being a top tier is despite of her gender. There are no other top tiers besides this natural monster whose gender plays no role. Hancock maxes out at YC1 and that's with much generosity. Smoothie is YC2, and a weak one at that. You have Blackbeard's vixen, who is probably lower YC level.

Not every manga is going to do it, some differ. ''As much'' meaning that it does indeed have instances of it, didn't watch it till the end, I don't read/watch MHA, so I don't know about it. Let's check some popular ones. DB/Z/super women were nonexistent, Naruto the same, Kishimoto made Kaguya the final villain, but brain dead, OP you know already, NNT the women are fodder background, besides Diane at some points, heck even Death Note, which I consider a masterpiece, had Misa and Takada only falling in love with Light and him using them, nothing special.
I personally think Big Mom And Hancock are on similar levels. Why else has Big Mom not earned The Worlds Strongest Women Title . Hancock has a broken fruit, Coc, flowing haki as seen by her little sister being capable. Big mom is definitely not taking someone as prideful as Hancocks soul either that’s a good matchup

Hancock used to be a slave who was only able to escape thanks to Fisher Tiger. But she quickly improved herself so much so that even Sengoku, the FA admired her strength.

Big Mom downplay or Hancock upplay, either way this is just baffling. I don't think there's anything in the manga to make Hancock look as good as Katakuri besides wishful thinking, and Charlotte Linlin low diffs her intrepid third-born.

Oda from the get-go has put forth the message that women, in combat, are inferior to men. And looking at the strongest characters in the series, the gender disparity reflects his earlier writing. The few cases we have are outliers. Big Mom as a top tier is due to being a freak of nature and unlike anything else. Hancock/Smoothie are impressive for their strength despite their gender limitations.
It’s more of me thinking about how hancocks barely seen but great feats would look like in post timeskip scaling. A fruit that makes her lethal to any man or weapon that doesn’t focus . Coc and flowing barrier haki she would be a monster if given a fight. I say she beats katakuri far easier then luffy did
