The Road To Harmony
It's probably just a coincidence, as there's never been much of an opportunity, but Zoro and Nami are direct opposites, almost to a deliberate degree.

Zoro is a battle master, who is capable of facing anything.
Nami is a glass cannon who relies on unorthodox tactics.

Zoro is spiritual.
Nami is materialistic.

Zoro is blunt
Nami is sensitive.

Zoro has no sense of direction.
Nami is the best navigator in the series.

Zoro's daring.
Nami's sensible.

The two never see eye-to-eye on important matters. The fandom focuses on Zoro and Sanji's spats, but their quibbles are on little things that don't matter in the long run. During serious topics, they're always in agreement, such as the Usopp situation and how to handle his return. On the flip side, Nami disagreed with Zoro most strongly.

In fact, the way Sanji treats both of them further highlights their opposing natures. Sanji treats Nami the best on the crew, while he treats
Zoro the worst.

They compliment each other in a way no other Straw Hat duo do. They cover the others shortcomings perfectly, while mirroring in development at times. Zoro is the best for those life or death situations or intense moments, but when it comes to maintaining the crew and keeping it together during day-to-day activities, that calls for Nami. Some of Zoro's best scenes are when he's shedding his sense of pride and revealing a more human side, while Nami it's the strength and resolve she's developed along the way.

Oda knew exactly what he was doing when he made these two the first Straw Hats, imo. They form a strong supportive core to bounce off of Luffy.

Another near perfect post.
I am always impressed by your writing.
