But just as Mihawk is the ultimate rival for WSS for Zoro, Luffy’s ultimate rival in his mind is Shanks…not Roger. It’s like this, if you wanted to be the #1 player in the NBA…it’d be Lebron, not MJ as the benchmark for that title despite MJ being the best of all time
Maybe, but it doesn't change the point. Luffy is set for bigger things than Shanks, so there's absolutely no problem with Mihawk being stronger. Zoro will almost certainly be stronger than both of them by the end of the series anyways. So will Luffy.

I really wonder where are other admirals who worked alongside commander in cheif kong. We know about kong being a former Fleet admiral. Then who are other admirals when kong is one of admirals. Why didn't we get any mention of them. Also Kong is still in good health(maybe he is a force to be reckoned with). So if his teammates are dead then why did kong not aged . Is it the same as gorosei?. There is a mystery surrounding this entire thing. Kong being considered as position for commander in cheif. Atleast other admirals who worked with him should be instructor or someone else.

analogy is shit because mihawk actually has the title zoro is aiming for
shanks was never the pirate king , will never be , and till kaido ( the actual strongest in the era) died, he wasnt even trying to be the pirate king
you lot are so delusional.

my headcanon is ultimately the marines just had garp(pseudo admiral) and sengoku at the time
great pirate age came in
so far more pirates to deal with
they had to recruit more people.

so you mean only one admiral presnt in kong era?. i really doubt that. but i wonder why did WG make kong into a commander in cheif which is only under imu and five elders. He literally has all the access to WG and Marines forces.

officially 1 but really 2
cause garp was one without the name lol .

kong was likely the fleet at the time , if sengoku didnt retire , am sure he would be next up for that spot.
