Watched the first 3-4 episodes of season 1 a few years back. Myself and my now wife HATED pretty much everything about this show. We watched Fargo instead which was awesome.

Now that I know this show is on its 4th season and pretty popular, is it worth getting back into?

I'd tell you to give season 1 another go. The highs of this show are pretty pretty high. The lows are your usual lows.
Personally I enjoy the suspense (and there's loads of it with Homelander), the CGI (top notch), the comedy (almost always great and most importantly relevant to the year the season is filming - actual pop culture)
The overall premise is also easily digestable since we've all been fed superhero stuff for more than a decade now with Marvel capeshit

I'd recommend waiting until this season is finished to see if it's worth it
Season 4 so far has been pretty shit.

Yeah someone called VoughtHQ has been spamming leaks lately apparently. I've seen a leaked image of Butcher, which I believe is in this episode?

Butcher gets some symbiote, tentacle shit going on? Some parasite or so?
It feels foreshadowed tbf.

The biggest leak I saw for this season relates to him too. With a certain someone else.
