he is not down for just a moment , oda literally wrote him saying " he wont be mobile anytime soon "

Kizaru said he won’t be getting up for a while which means that he’ll obviously be getting up once he’s taken a moment to collect himself. How on earth did you think that translated to him not getting up at all?
And you have no excuse since you believe that Luffy who can’t even lift a finger or speak will be doing so.

Oda isn’t subtle about defeats. When an opponent has actually been defeated it’s made plain and acknowledged.
That’s like saying that Lucci defeated Luffy at Ennies Lobby after the 2nd Rokuogan because Luffy was down for a while. Only after Usopp’s speech did he get up.

For the Egghead case, yes Luffy didn’t finish off Lucci…but it was obvious that he could have. It was just a one-sided beat down where Luffy had enough time to be chatting with Sentomaru before leaving at his leisure.
