Visually maybe, but the sound design differentiated the two very well. Idk I may be the minority here but I liked it as we got to see how much energy Sanji was expelling with this prolonged speed and still gave the hidden vibe to it.

And the prolong use is I think why they did it. Whereas Manga works great for not putting Sanji on panel but in manga having Sanji just not appear on screen and having just a voice over would look worse because it’d be about 3 minutes of dead screen

The Combo lacked Impact Power in the Manga aswell, but Queen was pretty much half unconscious after the first hit and Beef Burst did the rest. Argh and Urgh is all he could say while being finished off.

While in the Anime Queen literaly ate the whole Combo and even laughed it off, so Sanji needed another go to finish him.

As for Queen's flying trajectory, I think it's pretty accurate to size. The manga panel has weird scaling and we can't tell if he's flying in an arc or if he's still ascending.

How is that accurate to size? Sanji kicked him upwards out of onigashima, what has that to do with size or whatever?
In the Anime version Queen barely fell off Onigashima, while in the Manga he was kilometers up in the air. Means, the Manga version had way more power and momentum.

It could've been at least like 3-4 seconds longer and show it better like the hell memories scene. + Queen wasnt as surprised as manga

Yeah I think people are underselling IJ here, the impacts looked great queen was getting knocked back with every single kick and it showed how great the impact of sanjis attacks were. I’d prefer this method of it than overdone auras and reaction.

Although I do wish they did the thing where they kinda freeze frame on the beef burst manga for a second to really get the impact of that attack.

Rewatch the episode lol - Queen came back laughing at Sanji and talking normaly, while he couldn't even get a word out in the Manga. The combo was clearly messing him up in the manga, while the anime gave the impression it didn't do shit.

They added 2-3 kicks. The main difference was that they separated Beef Burst from the combo which fair, not the biggest fan of that difference but the IJ Combo was rather great and disagree on lacking impact the way it was pushing queen around no problem was quite entertaining

Oh I agree the impact was there and it gave the vibe of more old school boxing and martial arts anime than shonen which I really liked

true ngl it was well choreographed but realistically its way off what was portrayed in the manga .. nonetheless it did well for what it was trying to portray

This is a pretty good example of what works for each medium. In manga, it's easier to portray invisibility by completely removing Sanji in drawing. In anime, it can be shown that Sanji was traveling extremely fast while time around him slows down, like Flash in the speed force.

Yeah which is why I really digged the change. It showed the difference in medium and seeing this ability highlighted both ways was a treat to me.

Those panels don't look better than what happened in the anime. There are some impact frames and that's it, Queen grunted in the anime as well. Your contention seems to be Queen returning and that's fair but I don't mind the creative decision to split it up with the Zeff scene.

Being pushed around and saying Argh, but then the second after coming out of the smoke literaly laughing it off and not even huffing or anything, is not the same lol
Queen was saying argh and screaming in pain every time Sanji hit him even with basic DJ doesn't mean he was getting huge damage.

After the Manga Combo Queen was already done, Beef Burst finished the job

The result off the combo was non existend in the Anime. I posted a comparision in a different post.

Huh? Ever heard off something called perspective? Something that is closer to you is gonna look bigger than what is further away. There is nothing off with that in the Manga.
