I think you guys are over analyzing this, I don’t think adding an inch to your heights with lifts on a first date is bad at all or “hiding ho you are.”

Like you guys presumably would wear dress shoes to a wedding or professional event? I don’t think that’s any different lmao
It isn't that bad but at the same time you really should just be honest lol
Especially if it's just an inch.. It's really not a big deal imo
If she's enough of a lunatic to reject you for being an inch shorter than she thought, then that just shows that she's got her own problems she needs to work out.
Also this is the age where people get bbls, breast implants, surgeries to reconstruct their face/body, and wear make up. I think being, what was it, 5'10? 5'9? And lying about it is a relatively small issue.
It seems like everyone lies at least a little when it comes to their body, lol

Sure, but you should have no issue walking bare foot around her. If she's already seen you without the lifts on and has no issues then who really cares?. Problem now is that if you're in a situation where your true height is revealed she'll feel some type of way about you lying about it, she may not even care about your actual height. You've created an issue in your mind that isn't grounded in reality with this girl.

But the thing you have to keep in mind is that on the majority of online dating platforms, women set FILTERS to stop themselves from getting bombarded with 1000s of dick picks.

One of the most popular filters is height, in a lot of cases a woman will set a filter higher than what’d she actually accept in real life just because she needs someway to sort people.

Again I’m not saying you should lie and say you’re like a foot taller than you are, but in a lot of ways this is like embellishing your resume or adding a keyword to get past a filter on a job application.

Dating apps are garbage & are ruining dating.
The sooner you stop using them the better it is for you.
These girls wouldn't know the difference between a guy who is 6' and 5'11 irl.

And afaik, this is solely an American thingy cuz nowhere else do you have people obssessing over setting filters like "183 cm and above".

Shoe lifts isn't always lying

Just don't list your height as 5'10 if you are not actually 5'9

I actually disagree with you here. Yes, your main approach for relationships should be first and foremost expanding your social circle yada yada yada. But I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with supplementing that with online dating, especially since something like 80% of gen z couples meet online.

Also I just moved to a new city bro, building a social circle is gonna take like a year 😭 what am I supposed to do lmao

Wait I overlooked the lifts, that's actually sad lmao. That shit is super cringe. Adding an inch or two on a dating app is completely fair game, wearing lifts is something else entirely.

Brother its like an inch of added height
Makes it even more cringe dude. You're like slightly above average height to begin with in North America.

Lifts is when the self esteem is legit at stake. Lying about height by a couple inches is just part of the game.

@ZenZu I’m sure I could still fraud 6’ even without lifts I refuse to be shamed for this
You could, that's the problem. Stop wearing lifts lol.

Ok what if I wore hiking or dress shoes instead? Those will do literally the same as lifts but it’s cheaper lol
