I know and I think that is sad because there is nothing to fear. How they believe this when he was president once before and nothing happened is mind blowing. That's why I have no desire to find amusement in people's scared reactions and I really blame the Hitler narrative the left created for causing these people so much stress. Not to mention, that narrative almost got the man killed not once, but twice.

I think it’s okay to invoke the nazis if you’re actually trying to make a serious point. The history of the nazis is quite well known and hence it makes sense to use the nazis to better understand modern events.
But also, there are aspects of the nazis that are entirely unique to them. Saying Trump is fascist, racist or authoritarian is valid. But ffs shut up about Hitler, he wasn’t the only authoritarian to ever exist.
In fact I’d argue most world leaders nowadays are authoritarians.
