In the last chapter both Marco and Perospero entered Onigashima port with the two being seemingly working together or having at least found a truce despite their earlier hostile encounter at the waterfall.

What did happen between them ? What are Perospero's intentions with Marco ? Is this just a truce or do they have a plan ?
What consequences for the rest of the arc ?

Bout damn time someone made a thread about this instead of power level bullsh...I mean...nonsense. Gotta watch my language or they'll cut my pay again...

I've seen some people say Perospero wants to be the captain of the BMP cause of his dialogue after BM fell but that's just isnt true. In WCI, Perospero said that if BM dies, their crew is finished and did his best to keep BM from eating the cake as he thought Capone poisoned it. He freaked out when BM started to eat it.

Perospero doesnt approve of the alliance with the Beast Pirates and has a grudge with King....Marco is there to help the Luffy allaince take out Kaido. Kaido going down benefits both Marco and Pero's goals.

There's also the issue of Fishman Island and Luffy declaring he'll beat BM to make the island his territory. Caribou is still around who knows who Poseidon is and BM wants the weapons anyways. Pero could convince BM to ditch Kaido and take Poseidon for herself. It's a good trade.

Oda bought both for a reason

Pero Marco King... There's a plot around these 3.
Oda will reveal some past history

I’m still leaning towards Marco chasing Perospero rather than them working together. That panel looks like such a lazy drawing, though, we can’t see their faces, so it won’t surprise me if Oda did that intentionally to reveal next chapter they’ve actually allied.

This. If it’s an actual team-up, I doubt Perospero did it with the intention of betraying his mother. He’s arrogant, thinks his way is always better than anyone else’s, doesn’t seem to like to take orders from others, but his actions, while they’ve hurt his crew’s plans sometimes, have never hold malice towards his family.

there is not a single valuable hint in order to conclude in favor of any kind of coopération between these two. Until a substantial proof is given, it's only headcanon and the more plausible is that they are still antagonist in any way, shape or form that it will take rather sooner than later.

Yeah, that’s what makes the most sense. It doesn’t look like Perospero is running away from Marco and if Marco is really chasing him, he must have lost a lot of brain cells because he looks very slow for someone who chases somebody else. Plus I don’t think Pero can outspeed him.

Pero doesnt want alliance he thinks kaido is just too crazy to work along with crew.

Maybe pero knows something about kaido that he doesnt trust he wants to save his mother like a good son.

This is truePero has no intention to betray his mum infact he thinks the entire alliance is bs.

Big mom has very different view of how she view the world and kaido is opposite of everything. I think pero thinks it will harm the crew .

He iz narurally acting like any elder son does , taking mantle to stop the madness. He might actually be pacifist person if i look in this way.
