I like this theory and I also agree with @Roo - Xebex having yami means all Yonkous and WG are retarded.

Teach having Xebec df as third df makes sense well -based on his jolly Roger, a mythical fiery or fire based zoan fits. And, having horns on jolly roger also in tune with this

Here's a curveball theory: Xebec had the same DF as the Man Marked By Flames.
Through the whirlpools he might be able to transport himself away across vast distances at once, and this could make the future encounter with MMBF as Luffy testing himself against Xebec's power, before he fights Xebec's son for the PK title.

So it would be a higher tier than the Warp Warp Fruit, the first Mythical Paramecia?.. Very cool..

I do remember a theory connecting Teach, Thatch and Newgate as being aspects of the "true" Blackbeard.

Personally I was betting on a Kraken zoan because krakens have three hearts and I felt it generally suited Teach's rant in MF about how he'd engulf and destroy everything.

What if it's brooks fruit the Yomi Yomi no mi, the df itself strengthens the users soul, so that they can revive and live again with soul abilities

We assume that the fruit hasn't respawned because we see brook using soul powers, but it's meant to respawn after the users death, otherwise it would never respawn in the first place.

What if it's the case that, upon granting the user soul powers, the df has effectively done it's job with that user, the user keeps the soul powers, why? because their soul has already been strengthened, so it retains them (and the irreversible affect of having gained a df ability doesn't allow the user to swim)

Therefore the fruit can respawn while the previous user has soul powers.

Xebec's strengthened soul may have entered BB's body, which allows him to harness more than one df. and keeping them separate so it doesn't cause bb to self destruct.

We don't know if the soul itself can also consume a df power but it could be possible, maybe it has something to do with the yami yami no mi cancelling out the df abilities until it can be placed in said soul, as not to cause the devils to react with each-other.

there's undoubtedly some holes in this and maybe not enough info on the yomi yomi df itself for it to make perfect sense

Idk if the translation is valid with the panel im looking at, you'd have to get the raw to see if it even says something similar, but brook says he can "rock" the souls of others with his music. So what if "rocks" has to do with being able to rock peoples souls as well

Yeah to be honest, i would like it to be Buggy's, but at the same time it's an insult to Oda's creativity and it should be a new Devil Fruit for a Legend like Rocks.. If it's related to his 2 questions, setting conditions, it could be the Fate Fate fruit, people are forced to answer his questions, like Gunko arrows can't missed their target type thing..

Crazy twist would Xebec having the Clear Clear fruit. There must be a reason Shiryu chose it, despite the fruit not seeming that impressive.
