Break Week What makes you think Blackbeard will power creep old generation yonkos ?

We already are in final saga as Oda already said , after Elbaf 2 main things remaining is finding one peace and battle against WG. Why are people so sure Blackbeard will power creep characters like Kaido and Big Mom. Even if that is true how do you see it happening ?

- Getting 3 zoan type devil fruit
- Awakening his current devil fruits
- Having huge Haki buff and showing acoc
- Having access to ancient weapon

And why are people so sure Blackbeard will beat Shanks ?

BB is the final pirate opponent luffy will fight and defeat. Even if luffy fights shanks after BB it won't be a long big fight.

So BB has to be above characters like Roger imo.

He will get 3 DFs plus 3 awakenings

BB is mysterious.
So far on panel feats he is MID, he pretty much look like joke compared to Shanks during their fight against Law and Kidd in comparison.........
BUT
Won't let ourselves blind by this, because it is Oda's intentions most of it.

BB with all these MID feats, he's the pirate that Shanks is wary about since the beginning,
He put a scar on Shanks before he even attained any DF, Shanks knows the best about the threat BB posses that readers don't know bar on-panel feats, the most important part of BB fights are always OFFSCREEN for some reason.
He had something up his sleeve that we he show during off camera.....
And that's only one of the few elements about his strength......and he got potential apart from that, and something not secret like gaining the 3rd Devil fruit is awaiting, and it would be another befitting SSS tier Mythical Zoan fruit.

Get his 3rd (if he doesn't have it already) and awaken the yami into a moon god or something. Also he has some relation to Xebec and it is not yet explained why he aline can use 3 devil fruits.

From the story point of view he is the most likely to be the final villain so again he will leave even Roger in the dust someway, let alone Kaido or BM. You have to expect him to become at least around Im or Joyboy level in order to give a challenge to Luffy.

Blackbeard never has to surpass Kaido and Kaido isnt around anymore anyway.
He has a direct counter for 90% of Luffy's abilities.
Even if he is half as strong as Kaido, he will make it harder for Luffy to win.

He is already stronger than Big Mom probably. She heavily relies on her Devil Fruit.
Negating Soul powers means no soul recovery means she cant fix her broken bones from Gura.
BB's main problem is the 2x damage tax so his endurance/stamina will never match Kaido's.

However, as long as he faces Luffy's healing panchis, he is golden.
Also, he is the only veteran character in the end-game who is factually still powering up.
He will get a 3rd DF and Awaken all 3 if Oda wishes so.

Ancient Weapon doesn't count into individual strength but as strength of organization, it counts.
There will be no impressive Haki on him, he is not going that route.

Regarding why he will defeat Shanks, because it brings more weight for his match with Luffy.
He is the one who is going after all Luffy holds dear, so to say.
Responsible for the demise of his brother Ace, his crew took down his grandpa Garp, he will defeat/kill his idol Shanks and will probably also do something to Dragon.

He probably won’t kill Shanks, I have theorized for a while now that Shanks will die to Imu.

Yes, all those things you listed are likely to happen. Awakened Gura and Yami is arguably enough to say that he’s decently above Kaido. Add an awakened mythical zoan on top of that and that makes the gap significant.

BB most likely has acoc too but it will have lower potency than someone like Shanks. That doesn’t matter though because neither BM nor Kaido have that potency anyways. BB powercreeping them is already guaranteed imo.

Because it’s been set up time and time again that Blackbeard is different. He’s got a special bloodline, he can eat multiple devil fruits, and he’s one of Luffys main rivals.

Shanks has spent most of his time in the manga worrying about Blackbeard and was given his legendary scar by Blackbeard. Of course they’ll fight again and because it’s basically a Shonen staple, Blackbeard will beat him.

3 DF + 3 Awakenings + whatever bullshit Oda can think of such as absorbing an ancient weapon with the darkness df or completely remove Luffy's df during their battle are more than enough.

Power creep in OP is perceived worse than it actually is.
We already saw what the epitome of OP is. The best BB will be able to do is extreme diff other Yonko.

Personal opinion is Shanks and Blackbeard are the polar opposite ideologies that Luffy will reject. So, imo its Luffy's job to surpass both of them, not for them to surpass each other.

- They are the representative colors for Order vs Chaos, Red vs Black. Blackbeard starts wars, Shanks ends them.
- Shanks is a "good" CD, Blackbeard is a "bad" D. Though we dont know enough about both to hard claim their intentions I guess.
- Blackbeard has a heavy reliance on Devil Fruits (possibly 3), Shanks is solely Haki

Their goals for One Piece, in the end, will be Different from Luffy's, which is why I think both will lose at the same time to him (and yes, they'll fight each other too).

Final villain in Shounen.

how many final villains in shounen you know that can't take at least 2/3 top tier at the same time??

your average FV in anime, is leagues upon leagues stronger than anyone other than the MC.

BB might or not be the FV, but he is one of the runners for it

plus 2/3 awakenings

Well, Shanks’ facial scar is from BB and that was from before BB had a df. I always wondered why Shanks’ scar is three lines. Why not four, like fingers on a hand?

I am not familiar with order and chaos being represented by the colors red and black. The tao uses black and white. Are there other systems that I am unaware of?

First - I personally don't think so there ever will be awakening for Yonkou class. Kaidou/Bigmam/Whitebeard never Awakened. Yet Their fruit was Overpowered.

Second - I really got no opinion on third fruit. He can have it. But that really won't change anything. Using three Fruit together would be so energy consuming that it would be a suicide mission.

Third - More he gets used to Gura Gura no Mi , more stronger he will be , I mean like Whitebeard is the peak here.

Fourth - Yami Yami no mi is the wild card. Though Currently I call It useless against top tiers. But we gotta see more of it.

he will eat orochi's df. shanks cuts of his head and puts his sword back into its sheath. bbp laugh, just like buggy's crew laughed in orange town. blackbeard isn't dead, he stabs shanks in the back.
