I doubt Kidd is on Luffy's level right now and the gap is likely going to enlarge considering which astounding enemies Luffy will cope with in the future. Perhaps if he stops growing by EoS he might catch better in Post EoS if there will be one.

Yea he had a good shot to stay a rival at the start of wano but once we got to onigashima? Luffy and the sh's completely blow kidd pirates out of the water. Add in the sh grand fleet and it's even more embarrassing. Only way kidd stays a good rival is if he and law actually beat BM, he gets 1 or 2 strong characters to join his crew, and he recruits enough characters to start a real fleet. If kidd doesn't do this he's not a match for luffy and the sh's. RN the sh's low to neg diff the kidd pirates.

Rivalries in one piece are jokes and possibly a mockery of general shounen rivals. Oda has never been serious about any rivals.

Teech is an Antagonist.
And for Kid, will we see him after Luffy gets the One Piece?

BlackBeard is not a rival!BB is an enemy,an antagonist,someone Luffy needs to destroy.Kidd hasn't done any harm to Luffy yet,so he can't be considered an enemy.Oda has portrayed Kidd and Law as rivals ever since Sabaody when the trio fought the marines.BB on the other hand,crossed Luffy many times:tried to capture him in Jaya,captured Ace instead,stalled Luffy from getting out of Impel Down,had Burgess after Sabo and Luffy in Dressrosa,destroyed Dragon's base,will probably kill Shanks...So no,BB is not a Rival,BB is an nemesis to Luffy!

Right, I think rivalry implicates mutual investment. I don't think Teach has even been caring about Luffy much likely.

What purpose does Crydo and Meme serve that Blackbeard doesn't?

Crydo and Meme are also "rivals" of Luffy since both are willing to find the One Piece despite the fact that Luffy is weaker. Anyone who puts the Pirate King title as his objective is a rival regardless of strength.
