Questions & Mysteries When did Kid's fan become this arrogant?

"Arrogance"...

As a hardcore Kidd fan, I personally see myself a lot in the careful words of Killer from this chapter:
"Last time it costed you an arm, this time they won't settle for that: they'll try to take your life"

Because, just like Killer, I know well Kidd is risking a lot right here. Hell, he's risking everything. The force he's challenging is even superior to the one Newgate was leading in Marineford.

But Kidd's words "Ah ah ah, but that's only if I lose!" give me (and the other Kidd fans, I guess) the spark of hope and motivation to push forward. It's like being in the Victoria Punk right there with them, there's no place for fear in a situation like that. We're going all-in!

A lot of scenarios can follow with this battle if you analyze it. There's not just "Shanks wins, Kidd loses" or "Kidd wins, Shanks loses"... There's a lot of gray in the middle of that, and I think the outcome will be gray too.

Whatever the ending is we know that Kidd will come out of this shit clean, cause he's true to the character to the bitter end. I think all Kidd fans like him for his main characteristic: he's Bold, he's Wild, he's a Warrior at Heart.
So even IF he were to go down now, which I doubt btw, he'd go down swinging at his own terms, like a WARRIOR in the LAND OF WARRIORS.

You call this "arrogance" but I call it fighting spirit. Cause Kidd has already lowkey told us there's no scenario in which we lose.
"A man dies when he's forgotten" is a mantra of this manga, and with a Legendary move like this, Kidd is bound to live forever.

A man dies when he is forgotten. If he is going down he'll make sure the red haired pirates, their fleet and the entire population of elbaf remember him for ever. He is going to give all of them a show worth remembering for.:kata:

It’s quite funny that there’s way more hype for a fight he’s almost guaranteed to lose (and potentially quite badly) than for one he ended up winning (albeit with caveats).

Can only assume it’s because of Shanks being involved and not BM
It's more to do with kids fans believing that kidd is more relevant to the story than shanks 😑

Maybe Kidd wins. If Oda decides to use his PIS PIS no mi to nerf Shanks, Kidd will have a shot. BM was affected and didn't use AdCOC. Maybe Shanks will not use his sword, arm, legs and Haki.
Oda ain't giving Kid any PIS bs lol.
Do you really think Oda will make a character that he built up for 20+ years and hypes arguably more than anybody alive lose like this? I think Kid fans should be grateful if he doesn't get immediately negged knowing the hard on Oda has for Shanks.

There is zero chance for Kidd to win this fight, but he can perform really well, and survive this fight leaving scar on Shanks. So unlike BlackBeard who will ptobably kill Law and take Ope fruit, that could give immortality, Kidd will live, and probably became Whitebeard 2.0

Man, it feels like that Wano was the last time that Law and Kidd will still be in the competition with Luffy.

Out of the three, Luffy and the Straw Hats have it the easiest with just Kizaru, Saturn and 100 warships, as strange as it may sound.

Neither Shanks or Teach are losing here for obvious reasons and both are appropriate for receiving a W here narrative-wise. Luffy already has 3 out of 4 road ponyglyphs coming out of Wano. For story purposes, both Shanks and Teach need to beat Kidd and Law respectively so they can take their ponyglyphs rubbings to be in the final race for the One Piece with Luffy.

I can't help but think that both Teach and Shanks are like vultures waiting for big mom and Kaido to fall first so they can take the ponyglyph rubbings easier from Kidd and Law who while strong individually, have really weak crews.

Sorry, but i just can't see a situation other than Kidd and Law being beaten by Teach and Shanks and having the rubbings robbed from them.

No disrespect to Kidd and Law and their fans, but i feel like this is it for them in the race for the One Piece.
