Imo rebecca was the best addition with her abilities.

SH's would save so much time if she was around because half of the SH are running in the BG either lost or not knowing where others are or looking for something.

I don't understand why Monet is in the picture tho? She's clearly a malicious villain who performed experiments on little children without an ounce of guilt. At least Robin secretly helped the strawhats in Alabasta but Monet? How exactly is she a strawhat candidate? Like, everyone on that list is a far better candidate than her.

If Mera Mera Rebecca existed, we don't really need the character of Yamato. She basically filled Yamato's role, strong female combatant. Just exchange the dog zoan with ice power with Mera Mera.
Yamato stalling Kaido in Rooftop ~ Mera Rebecca stalling Doffy in Dressrosa. Dunno when that should fill in, maybe during Luffy became sitting duck after first round of G4. She should at least hold her own though like Yamato instead of getting her logia ass kicked and waiting for Luffy to save her.

I remember the day Sabo appeared in Dressrosa broke many Rebecca fans.

Monet was most popular in PH because she had no rival. Plus a woman, good looking one and logia. Iirc some people also briefly pushed Gangster Gastino and Caribou as the next nakama.

If the SHs are to have a representative for every oppressed group in the OP world, a fishman and a mink may be necessary. I have nothing against Jinbe joining, though he hasn't added much to the crew ever since. I wish we'd picked up an interesting mink at Zou, but neither Carrot nor Pedro are such in my eyes.

Maybe we could've ticked more boxes at once with a half-giant weirdo-looking mink with DF abilities to boot?

Imagine a jacked gorilla mink with the Jacket Jacket DF, able to wear other SHs and to have them wear him for a quick power-up (making even Usopp useful in hand-to-hand combat)!

Rebecca spent more time crying and yelling for help while being in bikini during a gladiator fight than anything related to next crew mate material

That's why I like it better how Mashima writes his female characters. With Minerva and Kagura for examples, there are a lot more female characters who shine with their powerful abilities.

Erza nowadays is trash though. Do you agree?
Mashima made Erza's Defrosting Ice Queen too far. She lost too much of her intimidating aura she once had in earlier arcs.

Nowadays she acts too much like post TS Robin, while she should have stayed as post TS Zoro imo. Zoro also defrosted right before timeskip, but nowadays he still has that intimidating aura that Erza lost too much.

Especially when Jellal is around. She becomes even more clumsy.
Same thing happened to Edolas Erza in 100YQ.
