Zoro’s only rival for the wss title is mihawk himself. It’s not about being close in strength

Them seeing each other as rivals is what makes them rivals nothing more nothing less

The narrative not treating them as rivals doesn’t matter then? They can be out of the pirate king race, never be comparable in strength or importance and basically ride on Luffy’s hype but as long as Luffy thinks they are rivals they are?

Kid is done.

He's alive, he'll probably be back, he may have fight in the background of some big battle against some fodder (by current standards of strength)... but that's it.

He didn't exactly fell off his rivalry with Luffy, but rather the rooftop fight demonstrated he was not only behind Luffy, but even behind Zoro. Oda gave him a good moment 2 vs 1 the least important Yonko, good for him. Luffy is going to become Pirate King with his crew and Kid has nothing to do there.

Kid and law are either going to end up fighting admirals, gorosei, or another form of top tier

They’re all gonna fight top tiers eventually

1. Oda built up a character over the course of several hundred chapters, showcasing his parallel journey to Luffy's and ultimately even having him 2v1 a yonko, just to have him die offscreen in an ambiguous way.
2. Kid is alive.

If Kid is alive, then he has a role: to get revenge on Shanks.

But no, surely Kid must be done. After all, its not like his ship sank off the coast of one of the most important islands in the series or anything.
