Some Zoro fans deny the anime is canon because it doesnt fit their agenda too, its not a one way street y'know.

the anime isnt canon, period. regardless of what agenda it fits or not.

Anime adds story on its own that wasn't in manga and sometimes even change the manga itself. It is ridiculous to do that.

Adding in a scene to smooth over Zoro's image and do damage control for the fact that Apoo seemed more damaged by a shigan than this attack later in the war, isn't pure adaptation lol.
When CoA that is actually in manga panel from Sanji is shown more clearly on the bigger anime screen you have zorotards screaming that it's not canon lol.
