Versus Battle Why I think Kisame and Itachi cant defeat Jiraiya

so lets go first to Itachi, i dont think amaterasu would be able to hit Jiraiya on sage mode, simply because amaterasu is not that fast, sage mode could sense this before jiraiya would get hit by this.

as for tsukoyomi, i think with Fugasaku and Shima’s help with their probably high level reverse genjutsu can counter this. Why i think this? Well since Tsunade was able to counter tsukoyomi with her expertise then why not Jiraiya?

So 2. Kisame, i think one of samehada absorbing Jiraiya’s chakra would backfired since sage mode could be mix to chakra. Samehada would might turn into stone just like when pein tried to absorb naruto’s chakra.

if somehow kisame uses the same ability that he used when he fought bee, it would turn the same, first of all Kisame might not turn into that stronger form and samehada wont turn as big as that without bee’s chakra and since Jiraiya doesnt have a chakra reserves like bee then this one wont work, even if he uses a ink jutsu like he did to bee sage mode can sense it with shima and fugasaku with him its much worst for kisame and sage mode agility and strenght + sensing ability would be hard for kisame to go in for a strike.

so the battle is all about brain right?when it comes to that kind of battle Jiraiya still at the top, because of shima and fugasaku. Expereince Jiraiya was also at the top, strenght, agility, and all.

i think Itachi was saying the truth that they cannot defeat Jiraiya.

what do you guys think? Is Itachi with Kisame can really defeat Jiraiya?

Itachi's illness prevented him from reaching his peak. Maybe you can make a case for Prime Itachi, but he was too young to beat Jiraiya.

Even Minato made it to 24.
Still had the same stats as Jiraya even though he was sick. Both 35.5 which are the highest in record of databooks.

Itachi was strong, but was blind and sick. BTW, Minato > Itachi. Minato > Jiraiya.

Jiraiya is a bad match up for Kisame and not because of senjutsu chakra. Samehada and Kisame can handle Senjutsu chakra in quantities they'd take it off Jiraiya. The issue is that toads grant Jiraiya equal mobility to Kisame in water and Jiraiya can spam powerful toads.

They're on the same level and peers but Jiraiya has Kisame's number.

Sick Itachi > Jiraiya though and "healthy" Itachi >> Jiraiya

Tsukuyomi is instant. Tsunade merely healed Kakashi after he got fucked up. Why am I even explaining this?
well first of all you need to look itachi in the eyes before that happen.. sage mode is basically a no need eye type so how can itachi even do it to someone who was trained who was a experience who knew ever since back then not to underestimate and how to deal with an uchiha?

what are you talking about? Sage mode cant be taken out its basically like a infinite energy thats everywhere. Specially Jiraiya who has fugasaku and shima to bring him the sage chakra And you need a mastery to absorb that, there’s nothing in the manga or anime that says kisame can remove chakra it only stated that he can absorb it big difference

You can run out of sage mode. It’s why Naruto had spare clones gathering energy

Honestly.. I don't really see what Jiraiya is supposed to do here. I mean, he cannot offensively bypass the abilities of both Itachi, and Kisame, collaterally. The Mirror Of Yata, and The Ten-Handed Blade, are spiritual weapons, made of pure spiritual energy, so I'd assume that they are extremely concentrated weapons, stronger than when they are filled or enriched with chakra. I mean, if y'all want real life examples, take sulphuric acid for example.. Ya'll would notice that dripping it in water and mixing it'll substantially dilute it, and reduce it's potency.. Similarly, pure physical energy, and pure spiritual energy are on another stratosphere of power. Another example would be eating a box of sugar, and eating them in a less concentrated form in the form of a candy, or a biscuit.. I hope y'all get my point. Therein, I don't really see what the opposing foe can acclimatize in this scenario, tbh. It's really a glaring breadth like difference in power, in my opinion. Kisame can extrude magnificent oceans, and tidal waves, which'll indefinitely douse Jiraiya's fire techniques, and his Sage techniques would be eliminated by the aforementioned oceans, and tidal waves, overwhelming them, and engulfing them, as the former possesses significantly massive area-of-effect in contrast to the latter.. All of these inextricably linked facets of battle entails that the Red Moon Duo eliminates Jiraiya with explicitly little difficulty..

Also, I think people are grossly over-inflating Itachi's admission of inferiority to Jiraiya, tbh. I mean, sure, if you wanna argue that Jiraiya >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the collateral Red Moon Tribe Organization, then, by all means, that statement is legitimate. But.. if you wanna argue that, that part of Itachi's statement is hyperbolic, then I'd like to propose that it's only natural that the preceding part of his statement is hyperbolic in nature, as well. Supplementally, I'd like to add that Kisame doubts Itachi's preceding statement, and enquires on why he was fleeing from Jiraiya, when he could've implicitly eradicated him, in that simulation, with implicitly little difficulty (If we're going by the implication of Kisame's statement, and the way he worded it — it's grammatical structure, to be specific... ).
