Break Week Why is everyone so annoyed about the Zoro family tree reveal?

Why is everyone so annoyed by it???

Zoro’s family was never gonna be important it’s always been the Will he carries. Why would anyone want that not to be the case.
Zoros extended family is essentially irrelevant because the most significant part of his backstory is the Will of Ryuma and the significance of the Shimutsuki clan

To me that fits with his character. He’s not the son of anyone important he’s just part of a bloodline and carries and important will.

Basically the opposite of Sanji

If anything this just highlights how interesting the east blue is

I also dont understand. If every single SH came from some highlighted important family it would be repetitive, at least this is a nuanced version of that. Its like Zoro is the wandering ronin who in a poetic way is treated like a pirate but in reality is a descendant of the Shimotsuki. He even defeated the zombie Ryuma so he had his encounter. It does both the wandering unknown swordsman who becomes his own legend and the important lineage at the same time, but prioritizing Zoro himself.

Because now we all know he's only strong due to his privileged genes, all the hard work character style is gone.

And inherited CoC haki from his family as well, that sucks

Wano was 150 chapters long.
One single chapter was needed for this.
Of course side characters are more important.
We are coming back to Wano though

I’ve always said this part of Zoro’s character will not be resolved till the borders of Wano have been fully opened

I believe he will fight a freed Kaido in Wano in front of the the flower capital

COC is not inherited

If he has privileged genes why did none of the rest of his family awaken it

Wano was the longest arc to date and there was so much filler fluff that oda sacrificed implementing a backstory for a main character and would rather write a dozen chapters of characters running and wayyyy too many side characters.

Why aren’t you annoyed?
Wano is not over yet though

We will be back to open the borders at least

Zoro is getting a backstory though. It just wasn’t fully developed in Wano because it’s not his time yet and he still is growing. Until we find out about the Void Century and the Ancient History Ryuma is still a complete mystery to us

Wano is over. Luffy doesn’t care about opening the borders he said it himself.

Ryuma isn’t connected to the void century he canonically existed many years after it.

And it looks like Oda is highlighting the significance of the Shimotsuki travelling to the East Blue. Ties to Dragon and the Revs as well who knows

But this is the right kind of backstory for a character like Zoro

Well the borders have to be opened. One way or another they are going back to Wano

fairs on the Ryuma stuff though. But it could be linked to something that happened because of the void century though

They aren’t. Someone else will open them. Someone who actually wants the pluton (cross guild or BB pirates).

And we know wanos connection to the Void Century, it was all about the Kozuki clan. Ryuma has no connection to it.
